stuck on space mountain

Has anyone ever gotten stuck on space mountain due to ride malfunction? We were there last week and my DH and 2 DKs had the pleasure of becoming stranded at the top of the ride. It was during a rain storm and apparently a flash of lightening caused the electricity to flicker, stopping the whole ride. My 2 smaller DKs and I were waiting to do the rider swap at the end of the ride....it was alot of fun watching the CM's walk everyone out. It was definately a highlight for my hubby to check out SM in the light....they were in there "car" for about 15 minutes before they began their walk down.

Didn't get stuck on SM, but my DH and I got stuck on BTMR for a good 15 minutes or so. What a blast! The CM's let us wear their cowboy hats while they took pictures of DH and I. I'm glad we weren't stuck at the top because I don't think I would have liked it as much.

Yes, the lights are on. The meteors are definitely chocolate chip cookies projected on the ceiling!

If I ever got stuck on Space Mountain, you'd know it. The headlines would scream "Woman Refused to Breathe for Twenty Minutes". I hate heights and know how high that thing is. I couldn't handle being at the top and having the lights on. *shudder*
