stuck on a ride?

I've gotten stuck on Splash Mountain, it was the part right before one of the smaller drops, right outside Brer Bear's cave where he is snoring. We were stuck for almost 20 minutes hearing that music and listening to Brer Bear snore. I've also been stuck on Test Track when they were previewing it. We got stuck a few feet from where you unload. We asked if we could go again since we got stuck and were told no, you got stuck at the end. We've also gotten stuck on Space Mountain, right on the first incline. Some guy's hat flew off and got stuck on the track. We were stuck for about 20 minutes and they turned all the lights on and sent CM's to stay with each car. It was weird riding thru there after they dislodged the hat with all the lights on and being able to see the track. They let us stay on and ride again after that one.

We got stuck on Rock N Roller Coaster for about 10 minutes in August. We were in the loading zone...the next car to take off. They wouldn't let us out and I started to get a little panicky. Being in those restraints and not able to move really freaked me out. We are going in December and I'm not sure if I will be going on that ride!! :scared1:

We were stuck on Haunted Mansion for about 15min.. it was fun though!

Last trip we got stuck on the Safari because a momma rhino got separated from her baby and wouldn't let any vehicles cross in between them. So we all waited.... and waited..... It took about 40 minutes before nature reunited the pair and we could move on.
Also we got stuck on Test Track in the cold room, and the misters never turned off. I kept saying, "Thank goodness we're not in the hot room!"
On Ellen's Universe of Energy, we got kicked out because a couple with a screaming 9 mo. old decided, just as the doors were closing on our ride vehicle to jump over the doors and leave. This was after REPEATED warning not to exit the vehicles as the ride had started. :confused3 The CM's went bonkers and we heard them radio-ing "we've got a jumper!" to the control booth and the ride stopped. It was nutz. They evacuated everyone and said the ride had to loop through its 45 minute spiel before they could open it up again. So that was a royal pain because that couple had ample time to decide to bail before the doors started closing - the kid had been screaming for quite a while beforehand. AND this was our last day so we never got to ride it. My husband is and electrical engineer and he was bummed.
Other times when we got stuck for a couple of minutes, I figured it was someone in a wheelchair needing extra help getting in or out of the vehicle.

Last visit to WDW, we got stuck on Splash outside near one of the first drops. We were just at the point you are about to drop. After 20 mins, we finally got to "drop."

At DL this past August we got stuck and evacuated off the Indy Ride (which is similar to Dinosaur at AK but a 1000 times better.) It was near the end of the ride, and I got this pic while waiting in our ride car for about 30 mins before a CM came to get us off the ride. Funny to have Indy hanging right above us with the house lights on!

DD and I were stuck on SM - almost 40 minutes. The boats ahead of us got "grounded" so someone had to come up and push each boat down the hill - the dark one near the top - until the ride started moving again. DD was fine. Mommy was a wreck because we were near the top and you could look out over the park which was oh so pretty but also terrifying as Mommy is afraid of heights :scared1: Have to keep it together for DD was the chant going through my head! :)

We got stuck on top of Space Mountain. Had to turn the lights on and a CM had us all climb down the ride in a maze of stairs. One of our riders lost a hat and it got caught under one of the wheels. It was interesting though to see what everything looked like! They quickly fixed the problem and let us start the ride over.

stuck on SE and had to be evaced. walked down stairs to the bottom with the lights on and saw a lot of debris and filth, empty carboard boxes, pieces of metal, dirt, etc. in the nooks and crannys and dark areas. gave me a different perspective on the whole WDW illusion. sort of like going down in most peoples basements.

We got stuck on Splash Mountain last month. It was right after we went down the big hill and you turn the corner. We were stuck there for a good 30-40 minutes.

ISAW. for two hours. 120 minutes. in a boat. with that song. and the exit in sight.

But no, we had to be pushed backwards thru the emergency exit while dodging animatronics the entire time!! At least we got in the Lion King show that was brand new at that time ahead of the line! Sigh, it was baaaaaaaaaaad.

I was also stuck on Space Mountain for about 20 minutes in the rocket while we were still at the loading dock. It was my first time on the ride, and that extra anticipation killed me! It's now in my top five, so it was well worth it.

we rode splash about 3 times in one day, and every time it stopped for several minutes. seemed to be in the same place each time (indoors). they turned the lights on, music off, and you could hear the animtronics 'clicking' as they moved. guess they were having problems with the ride that day...

We got stuck on Living With The Land for about 20 minutes in the greenhouse. It was funny because the boats kept slamming into us like bumper boats. At least it was fun because of that!:thumbsup2

The only one I've ever been stuck on is Ellen. Wasn't very long, we were the front car. We all had to evacuate, but luckily it wasn't during the dino part (FREAKY!), it was at the end during the little movie thing.

:rotfl: That IS bad. I think I would lose my mind!

Note to self: Don't drink too much soda, especially before IASM. :scared1:

On my last visit, I was talking to a group who got stuck on Splash Mountain for 45 minutes. I've gotten stuck on a few rides over the years (including IASW), but never for more than about five minutes. On my trip in September, we were stuck on Buzz for a couple of minutes, but it was just before we were in the first target room. I was thinking if I had just been a little further up, I could have gotten a few more points while the ride was stuck! I was wondering what the longest someone has been stuck on a ride.

A couple of years ago we got stuck on Splash for over 2 hours!! We were right before you go back in, but we were right in that area where that other canal that leads to where they store them I guess, is on your left. Therefore, we were the absolute last log to get off. A lot of people jumped out onto the landings. We had to wait until all the CM's got all the other people off, and then pulled all of the logs back until they could get ours near the landing and help us out. The park had already closed and everything. It was a mess.

Stuck on Buzz Lightyear ride last week for about 10 min. DH had max score by the time we got off. I would have too, but I was sharing my laser with DS2...Stuck on Spaceship Earth for about 15 min a couple months back with DS2 and DH...NOT FUN!!

Stuck on Test Track outside in a vertical position on the banked part of the track for about 10 minutes a few years ago.

We were stucked on HM and IASW on our last trip. Seemed like an eternity that we were stuck on them.

We've been really lucky - never been stuck for so long that it made it memorable anyway. :hippie: Generally, if a ride pauses for a few minutes, it's to allow someone who needs assistance to load safely. :thumbsup2

DMIL on the other hand :rolleyes1 well let's just say after being stuck for 30 minutes on BTMR she was in desparate need of a cigarette!
