I'm struggling with my December ADR's. It's just my husband and I on this trip, so I wanted to do grown up meals. Does anyone have suggestions?

Wed - 8:55p Tokyo Dining - Can you see Illuminations from here? And is the food good?

Thurs - 7:15p Boma - Is this yummy or no?

Fri - 12:15p Biergarten - My husband asked to do German. Thinking about Raglan Road for late dinner???

Sat - 8:00a Kona Breakfast and 9:30p California Grill - Hoping to see Wishes from here.

Any other suggestions? We'll be doing free dining, so we'll have to out of pocket a couple. And do some counter service, too. I wasn't planning on going to Animal Kingdom on this short trip, so is it worth going to Animal Kingdom Lodge for Boma. I've never been there.

I just want to make the most of the free dining and be able to take advantage of not having kids with us this go round and do adult meals.

Also, does anyone ever make ADR's for meals that are close to park closing times? Do they usher you out of the park after it's closed? How does that work?

Thanks!

I can help with a few of these...

I found Tokyo Dining to be a good meal, if not spectacular. The service though, was in fact spectacular. You won't be able to see Illuminations too well from inside, here are a couple of shots from inside towards World Showcase Lagoon:

I found Boma to be good, not great. DW loved it. It's all in your tastes and how adventurous you are.

You can never go wrong with a Kona Breakfast :)

The California Grill is an absolutely amazing meal. The food and service are wonderful. It looks like wishes is at 10:00 every Saturday in December so you should be good there with a 9:30 ADR. I'd show up a bit early just to be safe.

Have a safe and magical trip!

Boma is one of our favorites but Artist Point is also very good if you want to eat somewhere closer. California Grill is worth a meal especially if you plan to be there for fireworks. They dim the lights and pipe in the music. Its beautiful.
