What is the likellihood of having a stroller stolen?

I have not had mine stolen. The last one we rented, and it had a security tag thingy on it. I also don't leave anything valuable at the stroller. They might not want to steal the stroller, but your new camera might look good to a thief

I have never had mine stolen. We never leave anything of value in the stroller either.

I've been three times with my family, they've been 6? All times with a stroller. No problems, just don't leave anything of value in them!!

Buy some sort of tag or ribbon to tie onto the side so you can easily find yours. You will be amazed at how many look alike, and sometimes the CMs have to move them around!

The only stroller I'd be worried about are those fancy ones that cost like $1000. Nobody's messing with my $150 Graco! I leave everything in it, even our video camera and I never worry about it.

I think the likelihood is small, but it does happen. As does stuff getting stolen out of the stroller. Only you can know if you are ok with taking that small risk or not.

We get a bicycle chain and run it through the back 2 wheels so if someone tries to stroll off with it the back wheels would get stuck and they would literally be dragging it through the park. Get the kind with a combination lock so you're not worried about a small key getting lost. Do not chain your stroller to something though, security will cut it.

If you're not worried about resale value, put your name on the stroller. Some strollers you can easily pop a wheel off and take with you when you have to leave it.

There are other posts on the DIS where a guest had their stroller stolen or their stuff stolen from the stroller. If you are not going to sit there and watch it the entire time, don't leave anything that you wouldn't miss if it was gone when you got back.

Even the CMs in the stroller parking area don't know who owns which stroller or who owns the stuff in the stroller. So they are not watching for someone to take stuff. An AP is cheap when a thief can get stuff they can sell to make up the cost of the AP in one day.

I think it's unlikely but of course it CAN happen. It is not something I worry about. We also have an orange & gray city mini double and there are TONS of those b/c of the rentals. I would not leave any items of value on it, however.

We have gone 6 times with a stroller. Never had it stolen. Moved a few times by a CM, but always found it. We leave a bag sit in the bottom, sunscreen, extra kids clothes, snacks, and such... nothing we would miss. Our bag has always been fine too.
