Given the vastness of WDW, lots of people with "non stroller age children" rent strollers and I'm wondering if the same is true of DLR. The strollers at DLR look pretty small from the pics I've seen, and it looks like they don't have doubles. Do you bring your own?

We have done both. The strollers at Disneyland are designed by BOB and are actually very well made. They are small but strong. They do not have doubles.

Actually, they're made by the Baby Jogger company. A lot of kids, like my 7 y/o DD who never use a stroller anymore ride in them at DL.

This is a random photo I found online showing one of the DL strollers:

I haven't been to WDW so I can't compare, but the strollers at Disney are great. They are jogger strollers, very lightweight and are in a semi reclined position (like most joggers), so they seem pretty comfortable. Easy to manuver too. The only bummer is that you can't take them to the onsite hotels. Given they are pretty close, I'd love to be able to take them home through DTD and not have to rent one every morning of our stay...
Note, if you have a Disney visa I think you get 1/2 off rentals now? Used to be two free ones per day...

Sorry thought it was Bob. Very good quality though. Yes, you can get rentals half off with Disney Visa. Wish they still had the 2 a day free deal.

I wish I had a little one. I would so use one for a pack mule! (A stroller, that it is!) ;) Now I have to rent a locker to hold all my stuff!
OP I used a stroller for my then 9yo at WDW and at DL when he was 8. (He was small for his age.) It's hard on the little ones to walk all day long. I think a lot of people whose kids have major meltdowns don't have strollers for them. They get tired, cranky, etc. Major bummer for everyone in the family and everyone else who happens to walk by within earshot when that happens. We never had meltdowns and we would do the parks from morning til night -- with a stroller so DS could rest if needed.

I have always brought my own since it is nice to be able to push them back to the hotel in a stroller (and rentals are pricey!) And nope, no doubles in DL.

I've decided to bring a stroller for my older kids (5 and 7). I don't actually have a stroller, but I'm scouring our craigslist to find a cheap, used one. That way, I can push it back to our hotel at the end of the day and don't have to check one out each morning. Also, I think I can probably purchase one for around $30 and then turn around and resell it on craigslist when I get back, so I think it will be a little bit of a money saver, as compared to renting at DL.

Gorod decision. We needed to use it for our 5 and 7 year olds last trip. It is just so much more enjoyable for the kids when they can take a break.
