the strollers you can rent/use on the magic can you take them on island excursions or are they for ship use only.

There are only a few strollers available on the Magic. Not sure about taking them off the ship. Call DCL just to confirm. I heard it was first come, first serve with the strollers onboard...our friends just decided to bring their own as they did not want to chance not getting one.

You can take them off the ship. There is a 100.00 deposit to use them so if you take it off the ship and don't come back with it they already have your 100.00.

Just a kind request to all you stroller renters -- and please don't flame me for this -- but don't use the strollers as battering rams to get through a crowd. I cannot tell you how many times I got rammed in my ankle and shin because the mother pushing the stroller was talking to the person next to her and not looking where she was going!

And yes, I had a baby (now grown up), but I can honestly say in all my years of pushing her in a stroller, I never ONCE rammed another person's leg or ankle with it.

We took an umbrella stroller on our cruise and never once did we use it to get through a crowd....I use my 6'4" husband for that....

I would also like to make a kind request that others (who aren't pushing strollers) and are crammed in next to everyone, to quit using their elbows and other body parts "as battering rams" to get through a crowd......I have been elbowed to death by countless people and lots of young children who's parents are not paying attention at all to whom they are bumping in to.

everyone just relax and take the time to get through the lines...we are all on vacation for goodness sake!

I would also like to make a kind request to those unencumbered by strollers to relax a bit and please not cut off and step on the front wheel of the strollers. I don't know how many times this happened to us at Epcot last year at the Food and Wine Festival. It happened more when my hubby was pushing the stroller. His theory is that at 6'2", people couldn't see the stroller in front of him or just assumed that a man wouldn't be pushing a stroller in the first place.

Sometimes trying to put your thought or "suggestion" down in black and white doesn't always "sound" the way you had intended. Hope I didn't insult anyone about the stoller comments above, but I also agree with lillygator. I've been elbowed too (and it hurts!).

Sometimes the mentality of people "on vacation" always surprises me -- they don't seem to know how to relax. Think about it, how much time in reality does it take to stop and let someone by -- 15, 20, 30 seconds?

You're right, lillygator, we're on vacation for goodness sakes!
