Strollers on buses

We've always used our rental car for getting around but this trip we're planning to use the buses to the parks.
Can you tell me will we have to fold the stroller down or is there room to leave it up?
Thank you.

It will have to be completely folded up. It is handy to take a bag along so any extras in the stroller--cups, diapers, clothes--can be scooped up so the stroller will easily fold.

It must be folded.
I'm not a stroller expert by any means but if I were to use a stroller I would opt for an umbrella stroller.
They have pretty nice ones now a days.
They fold up so much better.
I see so many families struggling to get on the bus with their folded giant stroller and I think to myself... never... lol.

Thanks folks - it is a lightweight easy fold - it's more the contents of the under storage! Might sew up a bag for DD to stash all DGD's necessarys!

also plan out who is going to get stroller on and who is going to get granddaughter plus bag on before getting to boarding. we found this helpful to be ready to board when bus arrived rather doing this after bus stops at stop

Agree - before heading out we would pack all the loose items back into the backpack and be ready to fold the stroller. Then have a plan for who holds backpack, baby and stroller :)

when mine were little in strollers, I kept all supplies in a bag attached to stroller so when we had to fold it, it was easy to grab the bag and fold up on the bus.

Yes I would just have everything in a bag and not loose in the storage bin.
If they end up going with an umbrella style they may not be able to have it hang on the stroller but they could have it sitting in the storage bin and take it out for folding.

Here's how to work the bus line with a stroller. Keep your child in the stroller up until the time the bus gets there. Have all your stored stuff already in that bag. When you see the bus, remove your child from the stroller, fold it up and board the bus. There is nothing worse than being behind the family that has a huge double stroller, and decides that the time to fold it up is just prior to boarding the bus. If you decide to do that, please have everything removed, then one person can stand aside and fold it up while others board. Don't expect others to stand behind you, happily waiting while you tend to your stroller at the door to the bus.
Also, please don't try to board through the rear door!!! I can't tell you how many times I saw families go to the rear door and expect to board there. I've seen a child board, while dad tried to get the stroller on, but that rear door closed, leaving dad outside, ds inside. He was not a happy dad!!!! But, the doors will close, as soon as the guests that are on the bus have gotten off.
