Strollers on buses/boats?

How difficult are these rented strollers to haul onto the Disney transportation buses and boats? Is there a big difference between the singles and doubles hassle-wise? The doubles have a weight capacity of 50 lbs/side. Would 60/40 be acceptable? Will the stroller slow us down or help us move quicker? We have 4, 5, and 8 year olds. Thanks!

We don't find it to be a hassle but we don't overload the stroller with stuff (everything fits in one back pack) and we spend some time in line making sure everything was out of the stroller and in the back pack. For is its a couple of minutes of inconvenience for a day of easy travels.

We rented a double city mini.

The first day I had it WAY to packed and it sucked! After that I realized everything needs to be in a bag (preferably with a zip top) and you pull it out and fold it up. The fold itself is easy and DH usually just stood near the door (with the other dad's with strollers!)

You will definitely want to streamline your packing and your system of unloading the stroller prior to buses, especially if you're getting there and the bus is already waiting for you. I, personally, always find it kind of stressful, but I'm a people pleaser and don't like the idea of people getting mad at me. LOL Boats were always much easier and much lower key, probably due to the very small amount of people that would be riding (many times it was only us) That said I'd NEVER go without a stroller until my kids are significantly older- we find it to be a necessity, even for the eldest, as sometimes she needs a walking break, plus it allows us to get the little ones naptimes while in the park, and we don't have to pack all of our stuff ourselves. (not to mention that we travel in the winter, so it allows us to bring a blanket for the cooler times) We actually bought a Maclaren Twin just for Disney trips (even though we only take them every 2-3 years, if that). Took a regular Evenflo one originally and it was okay, but the Mac certainly makes folding and hauling it an easier process.

Like everyone else says, pack smart in a single bag you can remove from the bottom of the stroller. We had water bottles and everything else rolling around our first fold up.

I found the double to be possible, but burdensome for me. I'm a bit small. Thankfully I only had to go solo one day (DH got the flu), and so I picked the monorail for transport that day.

I don't know about max weights and stuff, my littles are little like me. However, I'm sure that those are mostly guidelines, it's not like you're going to pop a wheel off or whatever for a simple 10 lb variation.
