Strollers need folding on Dis transportation?

I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to pack my stroller for the Magic Kingdom!

We're staying off site and parking our rental with the other masses. After that, was wondering if we're going to have ride any sort of "transportation" just to get in? If so, do they require you to FOLD your stroller (in other words, am I going to have to unpack everything in it)??

I'm trying to figure out if I can just throw all of our stuff into the basket or if I need to put it in some sort of bag so that I way I can unload the stroller if need be (it won't fold unless the basket is empty). I plan on carrying a very small wallet/purse on my body for the essentials so we'd be able to park the stroller anywhere with just our "stuff" (diapers, wipes, snack, etc).

Any advice?

HELLLLO!

I don't know if this is a rule, but we found that we only had to fold our stroller for the tram ride from the parking lot to the gate.

i know there are a couple of little "boat" like rides in the MK that require you to fold your strollers, so we just avoided that mode of transportation.

You will have to fold it up on the tram that takes you from the parking lot to the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC). But once you're on the monorail, you won't need to fold it. I'm not sure about the Ferry (if you choose that over the monorail) but I can't imagine they'd make you fold it for that.

You do not have to fold your stroller on the ferry.

You can leave it open on the ferry as well. We did it last year.

Yes you can leave your strollers open on the ferry and the monrail but have to fold it when on the tram. One afternoon our daughter was sleeping so we just ended up walking. Luckily we had gotten their pretty early so we weren't parked that far away.
