Hi, in April 2001 we were lucky to rent a Ford Explorer. We packed WAY TOO MUCH! ds was only 15 months old, so we had car seat, stroller, extra luggage.

Next WDW trip, he'll be 27 months old. We'll rent the car seat and bring our stroller. But I'd rather not the extra expense of renting a HUGE car. I'd like the most economical car we can rent. BUT I need it to fit a stroller, three carry-ons and two suitcases (might be able to get everything into one case).

PLEASE HELP! Tell me your experience!

Well, you could put some of the luggage in the back seat, since you'll only have one child and the stroller on the floor of the back, so I think you should be able to get by with an economy. I'd advise on bringing your own car seat though, since you'll need it for the plane. At 27 months you'll have to buy him a seat, and I believe the airlines require a child that young to be in a car seat. Also, I'm always afraid of using a carseat I'm unfamiliar with, you don't know where it's been, and if it's totally safe, just my opinion though....

If you have a car at home, or could borrow one, maybe do a dry run of packing in that car and see how everything fits. I would think a fullsize class car should be fine, might even be able to get by with a midsize. Depending on size of 2 suitcase and what kind of stroller, if it is just the 3 of you, there is a possibility of a compact working, but I would do at least a midsize to be on the safe side.
