Strollers...I need to get this off my chest

Well, I read all 10 pages and my stroller question was not answered. I think I'll go start a new stroller thread now.

well- get the Mac & gate check it & don't leave valuables in it & don't put your 16 y/o in it & don't run into the backs of anyones ankles & am I missing anything? :lmao:
Mom2aredhead- I thought it was a hoot, DH & I were both :rotfl:

I'm sorry that some people got offended by this thread, but I laughed my way through all 10 pages

Around my house we call him "the second coming of Keanu Reeves." Which doesn't mean he isn't pretty. Its a comment on acting ability.

really? I think he's a much better actor than Keanu (who is also very pretty)
but...

....acting, schmacting - who cares as long as he's 'eye candy'.....:rolleyes1

maybe I'm distracted by his beauty-ness :cutie:
or maybe his name pushes him over the edge. Orlando...my favorite place to be! - take that however you want!

 Orlando!

IT'S ONLY A STROLLER!

Go to the store and try it out. If your kid fits in it and you can comfortably push it, buy it. If not, buy something else. If you're tall, buy one with longer handles. If you're short, buy a smaller one.

Yes, double joggers will fit on the buses, in the stores, and through the gates. And yes, the people sitting around you on whose toes you have parked will not be happy with you.

Yes, the Mac is the most popular one here. If you ask "which stroller..." followed by almost anything, Maclaren something or other be the answer, so just go to their website and pick one. They hold bigger kids, so your 6 year old will probably fit in it. Your college freshman will not. There has to be an age cutoff somewhere. Ebay is the cheapest place to buy them, and no, the rest of the world will not care if you have an '06 or '07 model.

Yes, the rental strollers are expensive. The doubles are doubly expensive. If they are too much for you, bring your own and don't rent one.

Yes, most airlines will let you gate check a stroller and have it not count as the dreaded $25.00 extra bag. Check with the airline to see if yours is the exception. Most people gate check without issue. Some people have issues. There are no guarantees in life, especially from airlines.

On any given day, this board is filled with stroller questions. Seriously people, this is not a complicated real estate purchase, you are not commiting for a lifetime, it's not going to be physically attached to you forever.

IT'S ONLY A STROLLER!

WOW!!! That sure was mean...

Me, too. Especially because I saw myself in the post, that of a mom who read every post on strollers, looking for THE one. My girls have finally outgrown the stroller days but I can easily remember my obsession with finding the "perfect" stroller. In the end, there is no perfect stroller because I still had to push it. :lmao:

Now, off to read more threads to find the perfect shoes and bags. DD12 and DD10 get to carry their own stuff, this trip.

The thing is, it wasn't meant to be mean... it was some light-hearted sarcasm...
... and as someone who has been asked which color crocs are most comfortable (yes... you did read that correctly!) I can understand where the OP is coming from... some of the stuff you see on the board is FUNNY!

....:scratchin funny, I was thinking the sa-a-a-a-a-ame thing.....;)

OP, that post was brilliant! Thanks, but you now owe me a new monitor! :lmao:

Hey, I was coming to tell you I found another juicy thread for you, but you are already here!

Have you submitted your DNA sample? Some of these cliques are so hard to get into. ;)

Yes, some cliques require the consumption of 21 Lapu Lapu's. ;)

Wow, it's like the time when you walk by a bunch of girls and they all burst out laughing. You assume they're laughing at you, when in fact they're laughing at something that has *nothing* to do with you. Yet you decide that they're all awful, terrible girls and decide to hate them forever.

Or just ram them with your stroller. :rolleyes1

Seriously, can't we veterans vetch about the endless posts and the newbie mistakes every now and then? I'm not going to be politically correct and extra sensitive to newbie errors. I went through newbie hazing, I made it! :wizard:

Yup, I was hazed by the best: Bicker! I was only posting to get my post count to 75 so I could learn some secret handshake. :sad2:

Where is that site? And by the way, can i fit my dh37 in a Maclaran? He's 6'3" and weighs 250. Or should I just go with renting strollers at WDW? Don't flame me for putting him in a stroller--the only way I can get him to behave is to strap him down.

OMG, I'm rolling over here!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: OP - fantastic thread!! I don't know why I opened this, don't need a stroller but thanks for all the the giggles!

Although, there is a chance my future college freshman *might* fit in a stroller, she's 8 & tiny - wears 4T pants -so there is a chance she could still get in one. We joke she'll be taking her driving test in a booster seat!

Just want to keep it real in case someone thought they definitely couldn't fit one in if needed.

IT'S ONLY A STROLLER!

THANK YOU! It's been 9 years since I had a child in a stroller and way back then the $12 umbrella stoller did the trick! Cheap, lightweight and served it's purpose.

I think my favorite stroller related threads are the ones that are by folks that mortgaged their home to buy the biggest, best, fanciest most deluxe stroller ever made and then they are angry/shocked/amazed that someone stole it while it was parked unlocked in the general stroller parking area at a WDW theme park!! :lmao: DUH!!!!!!!!!!
