I've heard that although not advertised, some of the Disney resorts may have strollers available to guests....Is this something we could ask about at check in? Has anyone done this?

I have not heard that... but they do have them to rent in the parks. Get the double, even if your 4yo insists on walking at some point they'll be tired and want to sit. Got a single for my 4yo in Jan, she fit find, but not so great when she wanted to nap, so we're getting the double next time. And you can rent for the entire time you're there. Just need to pick it up each day. It really saved us.... IMHO. Only had one melt down... I expected many more.

Hope this is helpful

Hmm...haven't heard of resorts having strollers. I know you can buy strollers in the resort stores for $40 or so, but not sure about resorts lending any out. You can arrange a stroller rental with a baby supply service and they'll deliver it to your resort for your arrival, but that's independent of Disney.

If they ever offer strollers at resorts you can be sure they won't be "lending " them out!!;) I have not seen or heard about strollers being available for rent at the resorts. We always bring our Mac Triumph for DS(almost 5) because it is great to have not only in the parks, but around the resort as well as in the airport.

I just read on another thread here that all star resort has stroller rentals where they will give you your ticket ahead of time and then you pick up the rental at the park. You don't actually get the stroller from the resort I don't think.

I read a post about the strollers at the resorts probably about a week or two ago. The poster found out that they had a couple of left behind strollers in the baggage services area that current guest could borrow. That poster said that they used the borrowed stroller around the resort. Sounds like these were strollers that were just left behind when the guest were heading home and didn't want the hassle of bringing home. I;m not sure if it was the Front Desk or who that told them about these strollers. I may have subbed to the thread...let me check..Yep, here you go!

We stayed at Pop Century in 2/05 and inquired at the front desk if they rented strollers and was told that they didn't. But, they had a business card of a company that rented them. I think it was $40.00 a week, but I really don't remember. We decided not to rent one. We just rented in the parks!
