Strollering Along At The World (Finally!)- A PTR (Feb '12)*TR Started 2/12*

Saw your title and had to read/respond. If you decide to go in February 2012, there will be at least two miracle babies at Disney that month! Your story really hit home with me. We also went through fertility treatments, but were not at all successful. We were basically told we'd probably never have a bio child. We made peace with that and adopted our wonderful first child 3 years ago now (who we call our miracle child - he was a year old when we adopted him - because he was truly meant to be ours). About a year and a half ago, we decided it was time to add to our family. So, we started our 2nd adoption. We had been on the waiting list for 2 months (and were told our predicted total wait time was 3-6 months), when we found out I was pregnant. Our miracle baby was born this past February. She will be going to Disney for the first time (besides the trip while she was in my belly) next February. Can't wait! But, like you, I'm already thinking through all the things I need to do to make this trip go well with a one year old. I haven't had time to read through the entire thread. So, someone may have already suggested this. But, I think I'm going to mail myself a package to our resort ahead of time with diapers, baby food, etc. There's no way I'm going to be able to carry all of that in our luggage! Congratulations on your miracle baby! I truly know how blessed you feel!

Oh my goodness your story has me in tears!! That is just amazing about the adoption of your first child and then your miracle pregnancy! That is just a TRUE testament to how good God is ALL THE TIME! And it just goes to show you that science does not know all. With our 2nd IUI we were told that it probably wouldn't work since we only had 100k sperm post wash and that you need at least 2mil to do the job. Well, science was wrong again thank God! I'm so glad that you were blessed with both of your children. I bet that pregnancy was SUCH a surprise!! I can't even imagine how you must have felt when you found out you were pregnant beyond all doubt. You must have been bursting! That's so great that y'all are taking her to WDW in February. Is this for her first birthday? Do you have a PTR going or will you do one? I would LOVE to follow along. And I'd love to see a picture of your little miracle babies! Many many many congrats!!

And what a GREAT idea about shipping all of that stuff to your resort ahead of time!! I MUST do that! I can probably ship my stuff to my BFF that lives down there that's joining us on this trip. I'm so glad you shared that little nugget of gold! I think I would have gone nuts trying to figure out how to get all of that down there with us. Even in the car. It all just takes up so much room. We'll be doing good to be able to fit our suitcases in the car with the stroller in the trunk as it is. I'm seriously considering renting a van to drive down in.

Moderate is great! The only reason we are staying Deluxe is because my friend that's going to be there with us works at Disney and is giving us the mad hook up.

I see you have another PTR going. I need to come over and see what's going on and catch up.

Yeah I kwym. I just now got back into reading ptr's and tr's since I'm doing my ptr. It's hard to keep up. I totally understand why you didn't see it from the beginning but you're close to the beginning since our trip isn't until December.

yep we have had a girl name picked out for a while, but we are not going to share it because we have found that some people will say stuff like, ohh i know of a person with that name you dont want to use it, or someone that has that name did this or that..and so forth.

we even had a friend who told someone what name they wanted to use and the person they told named there kid that name since theres was due first.



most people arent like that, but we also like the suprise of it for others to wait till the baby is born to find out.

With my first daughter I actually have on video at my baby shower my cousin saying "well you better be a boy or I am going to be making fun of your name for the rest of your life". We went ahead and named her Nikita anyway. I happen to think it's a great name and more importantly, so does she.

omg they didn't like "Justin"? That's a nice name. WTH!? Weirdos!

I hear ya! Just traveling to the park, close to home, requires a van these days.

And, yes, we were quite shocked when we found out I was pregnant. But, I can't say we were excited for a LONG time. We couldn't bring ourselves to believe that everything would work out even through all the prayers. I don't think I even allowed myself to be excited about it until the 3rd trimester. Kind of sad that I didn't get to enjoy the pregnancy a little (although I don't know that I would have anyway because I was so sick the whole time!!!). I look at my little girl every day now and am just in awe of her. I have to pinch myself sometimes.

It's fun to hear/read about other people who have similar stories to ours. I've enjoyed reading your PTR so far. Your little guy is so cute!

I was reading through more of your thread today and noticed that you're looking for Disney clothes for your son for your trip. I don't know if you've thought of looking on ebay. But, I've gotten really cute, barely used, Disney clothes for my son for each of our trips so far. And, I've been scouting out some for my daughter for our next trip already. It's kind of fun to feel like you're getting deals. It doesn't work if you're close to your trip date because sometimes people take a long time to ship things. But, since you have lots of time still (as do I), it works.

Well, I will be having surgery at the end of this year for a tube that needs to be removed or lanced. That's what we found out from the HSG. Sooo glad I had it done now.

They will also reshape my uterus (it's septid( and shave down my fibroids.

My dx said I'd be a new woman when it was all done!!!

TTC issues, gotta laugh about it. Seeing stories like yours gives me hope to keep swimming, keep swimming (Nemo reference)
