My boys were 2 1/2 when we went the first time. They were terrified of the characters! We checked in late at night and the first exposure they had was at Chef Mickey's the next morning. It didn't go well! Minnie came up behind Owen and he saw her and whipped around in his high chair and cried. Minnie put her hands on her hips! It was cute... to me. To Owen, not so much. Thinking back I probably should've prepared them a little bit ~ told them how big the characters would be or something. I was a noob ~ I knew nothing.

Those look like some great days! CP for breakfast is so nice! Have some pooh's puffed french toast for me..make sure to put some berries and cream on them (I didn't think to do this..and regret it) And POFQ is so nice!!! I want to stay there some time. We have stayed at POR...but with the refub, POFQ is high on my list!!!

Awww Poor Owen! Sounds cute but not fun for Owen at the same time. I wish Alex understood more so I could explain the characters to him more. Some have told me to take him to Chuck E Cheese before our trip to get him used to a big character but I've never seen the dressed up mouse at the one close to me so I feel it might be a waste of time. I'm going to try and find some characters on our first park day at MGM to introduce him to so he's not getting a ton all at once. I'll be stalking by the hat quite a bit 'cause I know that's one of the places they hang out. And go over to TSM to get Buzz and Woody of course. I'm hoping he thinks they're just all big stuffed animals. Maybe we'll start with Mickey in the animation area since he LOVES Mickey Mouse so much

Thanks! OOOoo that sounds delicious!! I can't wait to eat there! We've only ever done one breakfast at Disney and I don't really remember it so I'm really looking forward to CP and CM. It's been a few years since we've done a Character meal.
We've been to POFQ just to visit the food court and have wanted to stay since our honeymoon in 2003. We had POFQ booked but they upgraded us to Deluxe (not that I'm complaining) because they were closing the resort to renovate it. I can't wait to see all the changes they have made and sleep in the new queen beds. That will really help if Alex has a problem and needs to sleep with me

Ok here's a few things going on for the trip. Just a few purchases really.

I was going to rent a car so we could fit Alex's huge stroller along with our luggage but Priceline wasn't accepting any of my low ball offers so we decided to just buy a new stroller that folds up smaller and is more light weight. I know we could rent one while down there but the featured company that I've heard so much about charges $90 for 8-10 days so I would rather buy something that I can keep and use locally too instead of having to lug our huge one around. It takes up my whole trunk so I hate it anyways and have been looking for an excuse to buy a new one. Score!! So we went to Babies R Us on Saturday after spending a few hours in a couple of different gun stores for DH (I had to do something nice for him so he would give in to getting the stroller I really wanted! ) and we test drove almost every light weight stroller they had on display. DH tried them and we tested his stride with all of them and the height of the handle for him and how each one folded. DH hated them all except for the one I had already secretly decided on . We both Loved the same one!! SCORE!! I didn't even have to sell him on it! So we left and I ordered our new stroller off Amazon because it was $50 cheaper than BRU. I also ordered the snack tray for Alex, cup holder for us and the rain shield.

I'm hoping to get my BFF Becca to book our hotel for us tomorrow. We've decided to stay at All Star Movies this time around. I think Alex will love it! I also gave her the $ to get our park tickets.

And one more thing, I scored these sneakers for Alex off eBay for just under $10. This is off the UK site but really I just wanted to show you the picture. I'm hoping they're in the mint condition the seller claims they are. They're going to be so great for the trip!

I still have to post about the ADR's I've made. I'm not sure if I made enough for every day we are there. I guess I should get on that seeing as how we are less than 45 days out from our trip now. I'm so unorganized this go round!

Oh and guess what!! I FINALLY have a reason to order the UG to WDW with KIDS!!! I never thought I'd have a reason to get the with kids version of the UG so I'm super excited to get that as well!! Lots of fun purchases this week and we're about all set for our trip! I may order a few more things clothes wise for Alex off the Disney Store web site after I figure out if he has enough disney things for while we're there or not so if I do I'll update about that.

More changes folks! We moved up our trip. Yes, up!!! Our trip is now 31 days out!! New dates are Feb 3rd - 11th and we are officially booked! We will be staying at POFQ with the table service dining plan!! I can't freaking wait!!

So here's our park days and ADR's that I have right now. I need to start working on packing lists. I only have 31 days to finish planning! EEeekkkk!! I'm excited but I'm freaking out at the same time


Friday February 3rd – Drive down

Saturday February 4th - MGM 8:00am
4:30pm – SciFi Dine In Theater dinner ADR

Sunday February 5th – Magic Kingdom 9:00am
8:25am – The Crystal Palace breakfast ADR

Monday February 6th – Relax day
5:15pm – Boatwrights dinner ADR

Tuesday February 7th - EPCOT 8:00am
4:25pm – Coral Reef dinner ADR

Wednesday February 8th - Animal Kingdom 8:00am
5:00pm – Cap’n Jack’s Restaurant dinner ADR

Thursday February 9th – Relax day, hang with Tiffany
10:55am – Chef Mickey’s lunch ADR

Friday February 10th – Magic Kingdom 9:00am
4:30pm – Liberty Tree Tavern dinner ADR

This isn't quite it but it's close to what we have for our travel system. The stroller is HUGE and about 30lbs. It's ridiculous really. And I hate how it folds. It's not at all easy and you can NOT do it one handed. Safety First

we too have three strollers. I also have an umbrella stroller (have always hated them even before having a baby or getting married. They're just a pain!!) And a Jeep jogging stroller that is insanely heavy and huge like my Safety First stroller. The B-agile is by far superior to every stroller that we have now. We plan on selling the Jeep Jogger in a yard sale in the spring. Not sure what we're going to do with the others. I told DH we could sell the travel system but he doesn't want to.

I see another Amazon purchase in your future for the UG with Kids

I did read about Khertz's bad experience with SciFi but we aren't sitting in a car. I booked it for 5 since my BFF and her DH will be with us so I'm hoping to get a regular table.

Ooo your bday dinner at CP will be great! I'm also looking forward to getting into the park before it opens. Should make for some great photo op's in front of the castle before our ADR

I'm looking forward to taking Alex to Coral Reef. I figured he would have fun watching the fish. I really hope they sit us close to the tank.

Okay ladies and....well, I don't think I have any gents here so just ladies for now. I have made my first purchase for this trip. SHOES!!! I LOVE shoes!!! Now, I will wear these before the trip since I need comfortable shoes now (my feet just haven't been the same since being pregnant and I need more comfortable shoes!) but they are mainly to go on this trip in. I need comfortable shoes to keep up with my little guy at the world. I also got Chris a new pair of sandals seeing as how he's had his for 4 years now and the soul is worn down.

I got a pair of Keds for me (you know you're old when you get excited about buying shoes that you don't have to tie )

A pair of Teva sandals for Chris (pretty much a replacement for what he has now, the man is SO picky about what he puts on his feet)

And a pair of Teva sandals for me (I figure if Chris loves them so much they have to be great seeing as how picky he is about shoes)

I'm excited and can't wait to get them from Zappos

Those are VERY cute! I need to get me some comfy shoes. It doesn't matter if I'm walking around Disney World or at work, my feet hurt in EVERYTHING! I even bought those god awful crocs. They're not all they're cracked up to be. I mean, they're okay, but not wonderful, you know?

I'm picking what park we go to based on which park has morning EMH's so here we go.

February 10th - arrival day!!!

February 11th -

February 12th - there's no morning EMH's so we'll be headed here 'cause you just have to see the castle at the beginning of your trip and as much as possible and I'm dying for Alex to see the opening show.

February 13th - This day has AK morning EMH's but we'll be taking a break this day since Becca will have to work and we gotta take a day break for Alex at some points in the trip. But we'll probably wind up here at some point during the day

February 14th - Valentine's Day!!

February 15th -

February 16th - another break day. Not sure what we will do. Maybe go to Olde Town?

February 17th - No EMH's but the web site says that Dumbo will be down until the 17th and I AM taking my baby on Dumbo!! So we will be here again for our last park day.

We'll probably hop over here too so I have someone to ride Soarin' with since Chris won't ride it and Becca and James will be with us

February 18th - go home

Chris won't ride Soarin? Not even the bottom row? What is up with these big, burly, strong men who won't get on the "scary" rides?
