Stroller Swap!!!!

I just think that this is the coolest idea & I hope it goes on for a long time!
We'll be there from the 5th thru the 12th but I won't be needing the stroller. My youngest is 7 & occasionally he wants to ride in a stroller but we rent a WDW one becuase they're bigger.

just doing that last minute packing, we just got wallopped with another foot of snow here, I have taken a picture of the stroller surrounded by three feet of snow and that will be the first picture in the scrapbook.....(Iwill get it developed at disney) I have a book, paper, glue scissors, stickers and other disney stuff for anyone to use, and it will be forwarded with the stroller.....
if everbody could help this thread to stay going while I am away I would truly appreciate it...thanks so much guys already for all the offers, when I get back I will start making a master list of who wants it when.....
One last idea, the stroller is bright bright blue, I think anybody who uses the stroller maybe would like to bring a small peice of lime green material, or patch or something, and attach it to the stroller, maybe with the families name and date.....and slowly the blue stroller will turn lime green! Nothing that is of value, though, cause we dont want our stroller to get snatched! That way also, other dis'ers who dont need the stroller but have read this thread may recognize it!

i am still so pumped about this.. i am going to make a patch and put it into our "to go to disney" box tonight.

have you thought about how we will do this swap? I have an email into the resort about how you could leave something for me to be delivered at my resort a day or so later. I asked my TA at Dreams Unlimited and she says she has no idea on how to do it

Is anyone going to be there during that time frame that wouldnt mind "baby-sitting" the stroller for a day or so and then meeting me somewhere to hand it off?

in case you missed it we are arriving sometime late evening the 29th and staying off-site that first night somewhere in orlando area. we will check in the 30th at allstar movies

We'll be in Kissimmee Apr. 26- May 3, still debating if we're bringing a stroller or not, as Ryley is almost 4 and his big sister is 6 1/2. We're staying offsite in a rented vacation home.

Lars624, have you ever had trouble renting a stroller mid-day?

No, I've never had any trouble in about 8 WDW trips with kids. They seem to have a bazillion strollers at each park!

The stroller was purchased for 5 yr olds if that helps with the size issues. I'm handing it to ohanaMAMA and she can pass it to someone on April 4th. We then have a gap till the 26th (that's if you still want it dandelion!) This way maybe you only need to rent one, I hear those doubles can be a handful! So if anyone is going around the 3rd-6th get your post in!!!!

We are going to be at WDW June 16-23, staying at the Yacht Club. If the stoller is still available then I would love to have it. I have an 8 year old and twins who are 6. The 6 years olds can still ride in an umbrella stroller as they are only about 40 lbs soaking wet!!! This is a fabulous idea. What's the deal with the green ribbons?

Maybe you could check if they are still willing to "strollersit" if nobody needs it.

I'll be there April 5 (arriving at 9pm) through April 11 (leaving at 9am). Why did I do that, I should be arriving early and leaving late? I'll plan better next time. Anyhow, as I mentioned before I'll be offsite but with a rental car -- still not sure how that would work out anyhow. I have a stroller I was going to bring down since I know it fits him good -- he's 3 but tall, 42 inches.

So I'm still thinking about it.

Good luck, it's a great idea and sounds like it will be fun. What if it were still floating around Disney this time next year? That'd be great!

What a wonderful idea! We will be in WDW from May 6-16 and were just discussing the stroller issue.

I hope it continues to be passed along. This is a GREAT idea!

Here's a suggestion for the in-between times or if the chain comes to an end: the main "lost and found" outside Magic Kingdom. Then the next person or anyone on the list who comes much later can go & check to see if the lime green-identified stroller is there. We had a stroller snatched last year from Epcot, and the people at the L&F were extremely nice. They have a record of every item, and where and when it was found. But I think they get lonely and discouraged, because so few things are ever claimed. And they know that once it's been a week, the owner is probably gone. They might even get a kick out of the whole scheme!

I'm new at this. Hope I don't mess it up. I've been keeping up with the stroller swap and wanting to get in on the game, but I had trouble getting activated. What a wonderful idea!

We will be there June 24-29 and staying at the cabins at FW. Would love to have the stroller for my three-year-old daughter. Will be traveling in a van and don't have a lot of extra room.

We'll be happy to get the stroller from you on the 11th, and hold onto it up through the 16th (afternoon) to stroller sit. We'll have a car if we need to pick it up. We're offsite April 6-9th, then onto the allstars Music til the 11th.

Ok all!!! I have compliled a list of stroller swappers!!!!!
If you wouldn't mind going to the forum marked "Stroller Swap List" and checking it out. If you decide that you do not need the stroller please let me know so I can modify the list. Also please don't respond to that forum since then it will be a 100 pages long. You can pm or email me. I will then hook you up with the dropper off-er or the picker upper. I will do my best to keep this thread going as long as possible!!!! So far it looks good through June with only one actual overlapper. I will email the overlappers and see what we can work out so that everyone has a chance!!!!
