Stroller share?

Dh & I are trying to figure out how to save the cash on renting strollers at the parks. We're going to be there for 9 days so it would get expensive. But my girls are big, 45lbs & 55lbs. And we can't do 2 umbrella strollers as we also have a baby who will already in an umbrella stroller (2 parents/3 strollers.) But I don't think my kids can handle 9 days of walking either.

Ya see what I'm struggling with?

So Dh said today, "let's buy a stroller & swap it just like you're doing with the fridge." We'll be there 8-31 to 9-9 this year & staying at All Star Sports. Anyone interested in a double stroller share? I thought I might buy it on-line and have it shipped to the resort to save on shipping costs.

Anyone done this before just like the fridge things? Just kinda checking on interest for the month of September. $20.00 or so sure beats $200!!!.

OK, scrap this. I just went out & pushed my girls around in strollers & there is no way. I don't want to be exhausted from pushing. We'll have to rent. Maybe I'll just rent half the time.

DD4 is 42 lbs, and 42". We'll probably just lug the babytrend we have from last year, but she would do better in a stroller made more for her size. Oh well, doean't pay to buy a 100. stroller for an 11 day trip.

This makes me glad my baby is 27YO. Good grief, my oldest is in her mid 30s! This is a good idea though. Too bad it doesn't work for you.

you could look on craigs list for a double jogging stroller.. i just got one on craigslist for $55 with the rain cover!!!!!!!! My children are dd10 70lbs. dd6 60lbs ds 10months 17lbs, i pushed both dd's in the stroller without any problems, i only had to do a small pop-a-wheelie to turn and that was not that bad either. Good luck.

Check your local thrift shops for double jogging strollers. I see them regularly at the thrift shops in my area.

strmtroopr96...If you find a swap, let me know! I'll be arriving late on Sept. 14th, and could trade after you! I'm trying to figure out what to do too, since my 6yo is 40 lbs, 44", her current strollers just don't push well anymore.

I pushed my almost 3yo niece around in an umbrella stroller last week. Never again!
The handles are just not in the right height for me. My back was killing me by the end of the day.
For our Disney trip, we are going to the local child consignment store to see what they have for mid-grade strollers. DOn't want a deluxe, just want something decent We did this for last family trip and got a really nice stroller for $25. Well worth it for the trip and getting through the airports.

SWA broke my double stroller on my way down to disney of course they do not pay for that since they make you sign that they are not responsible for damage. I ran all the way through BWI with it and had no problems! Good Luck

When did they start that? When we went down in 04 they broke our umbrella stroller and gave us a check for the stroller.??

I am not sure but the last couple of times I have gone they make you sign that they are responsible for loss not damage.
