Hi Everyone!

We are leaving on Friday to go to the World and I was wondering what you would recommend for putting on your stroller if it rains? Do you have a certain brand of stroller cover you prefer or do you do something out of the ordinary? We have a graco mosaic stroller which is basically like a maclaren type stroller so I don't know what would work the best. I tried the one at Toys R Us that they make but it seemed very stiff plastic and wouldn't cover her feet. Plus I would think it would get hot in there with it. So what would you suggest??

Thanks
Ashley

Hi,

We are leaving for the World on Nov 21st. I bought a Jeep rain cover for my Chicco Trevi. I plan to put the cover on if it rains and take it off as soon as it stops. At this time of year I'm hoping that it's not too hot to leave the cover on while it rains. If it looks like rain, or rain has been predicted for a particular day, I plan to put the cover on while we're on rides / in pavilions. Depending on how old your child is, could you just tell her to sit with her feet under the cover while it's raining? Alternatively, you could take off her shoes and replace them with flip flops or sandals while it's raining, or leave her barefoot until she needs to get out of the stroller. My daughter turns 1 while we're there and her feet don't hang over the edge of the seat yet, so this is not an issue for us, she also doesn't really wear shoes yet, so unless she starts walking at Disney, she'll be barefoot most of the time anyway. I HTH a little bit. Have a great trip!

May we went in the week of record downpours...

But took a new McClaren with a new raincover from them, and it lasted long enough to put it on!
We ended up getting a kids poncho, and used one of the dollar store ponchos to cover the stroller.
Have a grand time,

We went super cheap and purchased some plastic fabric from Walmart (the stuff grandma used to cover the couch with). 3 yards was big enough to cover my clunky double jogger and my Sit and Stand, respectively. It's folds down pretty small too. When the rain comes, I throw it over the top and go. It sits over the sun shades and drapes down. Keeps little toes dry, too. It looks a little silly, sure, but I can promise it looks a lot better when it's keeping the kids dry. Cost me about $3.

Im cheap too. We go to the Dollar Tree and get a couple of clear shower curtains. Throw it over the stroller and clip with a couple of clothes pins if needed. I just threw ours over the stroller- plenty big to cover it all!
