We found that all the strollers are the same. Because of that, I brought along my own stroller for the first three years. When my son turned 4, we decided we would just
rent a stroller from Disney.
I would like to pass along a few stroller tips I have learned over the years.
If you are going during rainy season, you should purchase a poncho for the stroller too. The stroller parking is hardly ever under cover and will be exposed to the elements. You can use the poncho to cover the stroller.
I also brought along a beach towel to put in the seat of the stroller. This helped to absorb the heat and kept the seat a little cooler.
The castmembers frequently tidy up the stroller parking area. Do not be surprised if you park you stroller in one spot, go on the ride, come out and your stroller is in another spot. Don't panic, just luck around and you'll find your stroller. I used to tie something bright to the handle of the stroller to help me identify it in a crowd. Bright red, orange, green, yellow grossgrain ribbon works well. A handkerchief also works well. Do not, under any circumstances, tie a balloon to the handle. You'll soon get tired of the balloon hitting you in the face and you'll be ready to poke a hole in it by the end of the day.
If you choose to rent a stroller from Disney and you're planning on being in the parks for several days, ask the stroller rental cashier if there is a weekly plan in effect. This is not something Disney advertises but they often will offer a weekly rental.
At the end of the day, you can take the stroller back to the main stroller rental location and get a $1.00 back. Believe you me, it's not worth the $1.00! We just clean out the stroller and leave it in the stroller parking area.
Hope you guys have a super great trip with that pretty little child of your's.
