Stroller Parking?

Is there a map of the stroller parking locations? Are there one or two main spots per land, or parking outside each attraction?
Thanks!

I haven't actually seen an official map with the stroller parking areas denoted. I mostly just looked for a place where there were already a lot of strollers parked and parked my stroller there. Sometimes it was right by the attraction entrance, other times it was kind near the entrance to a land. I recall seeing/using a pretty good sized parking area by the Jungle Cruise, near IaSW, near Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster, by RSR (around the Stanley statue), on the down ramp near PotC, and by Little Mermaid.

Hint for Stroller Parking:

Do NOT put the brakes on your stroller!

We always locked our stroller when we parked (some places had inclines and we didn't want our stroller rolling into the crowds).

One time our stroller was moved to another location by CM's. This happens and we weren't concerned and knew to look for our stroller (Another Hint: mark your stroller with something that will help you identify your stroller in the sea of strollers).

Shortly after the wheel literally FELL OFF our stroller as we were pushing it. Good thing my child didn't fall out of the stroller as it literally tipped over when the wheel fell off. Our guess is that when the CM moved our stroller they did not release the brake.

We spent over 2 hours trying to fix our stroller. We were sent all over the park to look for help. We only needed a small nail or screw to replace the missing cog pin (I think that's what it's called). No luck. Disney said they couldn't give us a nail or screw. Liability issues. Not sure what kind of dangerous stuff they thought we'd do with the nail or screw but we weren't getting one from them.

My husband eventually came up with a solution. Luckily we had a key ring in our backpack and he used the keyring (luckily it was the right size to fit through the opening) where the missing cog pin should have gone. Needless to say it was a very stressful and sweaty (we were running all over the park) 2+ hours!

We know better for next time and we lived to tell the tale! :-)

EDITED: Figment_Jii below made an excellent point so I am editing my post.

Please USE the brake on inclines or if you think your stroller will roll.

However, if the ground was even and I didn't think the stroller would roll, I would still not use the brake in this case. Personal preference just because of the hassle we went through.

When we tried to seek help, we had to navigate the crowded parks and carry most of our belongings while trying not to lose our kids in crowds (who now had to walk) all the while I tried to balance and push the stroller on 3 wheels. Again ... stressful and sweaty and frustrating! Luckily my husband eventually solved the problem since I had no idea how to dispose of the stroller if it wasn't fixable.

I'm sure in most cases strollers get moved without incident. However, my luck doesn't seem too great in the Parks. The wheel breaking off the stroller came soon after our delayed park entry. Arrival day in Disneyland our youngest had an allergic reaction (which we tried to treat with Benadryl) but by the next morning (2nd Day of Disneyland) we decided we needed to go to the Emergency hospital. Husband and oldest finally made it to the parks for a few hours on the 3rd day while I stayed back with the youngest while he recovered. Unfortunately, not much luck that time! :-)

I agree with your second hint (mark your stroller with something distinct), but I disagree with your first hint. I always used the break and we never had any problems with stroller, even it was moved. I think it's a lot safer to put the brake on, especially if you're parked on an incline, rather than risk having the stroller roll into someone or something.

Excellent point Figment-Jii: YES ... please use the brakes on inclines or if you think your stroller will roll. If the ground is flat and no chance of rolling then I still wouldn't use the brake (personal preference) just because of the hassle I went through. I will edit my post. Thanks!! :-)

We just got back and had our with us. There wasn’t a single time we went looking for stroller parking.. it was always just there lol.

Oh and yes mark with something bright! My hubby braided yellow cord around the handles of ours. We could instantly find it every time.

Someone should make a map. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
I actually really wanted one. I do love maps!

That's good to know! :thumbsup2

Rapunzel! Perfect!

I READ A SUGGESTION To put lights on the footrest and handle. So when you’re pushing at night people won’t bump it.
Very smart!

I love that lights idea!!!!

What do you all think is the best way to "decorate" your stroller? I've heard the "buy the balloon" theory, but if the balloon pops or flies away, you're outta luck!

I really liked this...we wrapped the stroller in the battery powered string lights and it made things much easier. Not only did it give other guests a clearer sense of where the front of the stroller was located (the foot rests were black, so hard to see in the dark and it's surprising how much of DLR is actually fairly dark at night), it also helped me see where the front of the stroller was located (so I banged into fewer things and people). I highly recommend using string lights that have easily replaced batteries!

I like the balloon idea, but agree that it's best to also have something that is unlikely to become dislodged. Distinctive string/ribbon on the handles is usually a good option. I would just make sure it's something that can be securely attached to the stroller and isn't likely to get caught/tangled with anything else.

Balloons didn’t work for us. They were in my face the whole time. Lol

We used luggage pom poms. We used brightly colored ones like these and put one on each corner of the handle. Made it easy for us to find ours in a crowd. And then used them on our luggage at the airport and worked well there as well.

The balloon thing definitely worked for us when we had the stroller. We were lucky in that it wasn't stolen, or something terrible like that. Our personal stroller was the same color as the Disney rentals, so it definitely helped! The one downside to no longer having a stroller is that I don't have anything/anyone to hold my balloon for me when I go on rides. So no more balloons for me

Read this too! Great idea! In addition to lights here's some other ideas:

1) Strings of light (as other poster already mentioned)

2) Blinking Lights (like the ones on bicycles)

3) Glow Sticks

4) Self Stick Reflective Tape (whether for street crossing at home or at Disneyland, to make it easier for cars to see our stroller during street crossing, we stick the Reflective Tape near the bottom, top and sides of our stroller).

If you can get the "sheet" kind, you can cut out circles and make "Mickey Ear" patterns. I've also found "sheet" kind reflective tape in different colors (silver, orange, yellow).

5) DIY stroller tags (with Disney artwork) & self laminated & with hole punched at top with string to attach to stroller.

#4 Reflective Tape Mickey Ears idea can also be made into a DIY tag to be hung from your stroller handle.

Have fun decorating! :-)
