Stroller for a 7 and 9 year old?

If you rent at the parks, you cannot take the stroller out of the park, so a sleeping child would still need to be carried out. If you rent one offsite, you have to fold it and carry it on to the bus, with the sleeping child. If you use a car, then you have to fold the stroller to get on the tram, or walk all the way to your vehicle.

Rented off site......there are more then one vendor, style and model.

If you think you might use it, get it and ignore the overly opinionated bunch on this board. Trust me, this is the only place anyone is going to act appalled.

It's your vacation. Do what you think is best. If you get it, you don't have to use it. I pushed a 50 lb child around and it was fine. Not heavy at all.

Well, maybe this is the only place people are going to tell you they are appalled, but I can't imagine anyone not being appalled seeing a NINE year old in a stroller! Seven is really pushing it, too.

Who cares what another family does?! We pushed our kids ages 8, 6, and 3 in a stroller and it made our trip to Disney super relaxing. We didn't even think about not having it. We knew with our kids everyone would be happiest if everyone had a seat. We brought a double stroller and a single. We pushed the kids when we had far distances and then parked it in a an area for big chunks of time. Truly, it's your vacation and do what works for your family. Have fun!!!

My 7yo sat in the stroller we had for my younger son this past trip. He is off the charts tall and looks more like 10 (and also hurt his foot, luckily we had extra shoes for him back at the hotel). Glad we didn't cross paths so the sight of such could ruin your moment/day! Though a regret I suppose.

Cheers!

There are just too many strollers in the parks! Older kids can walk, teens can walk, adults can walk. No need for baby carriages.

I don't know why other people care either. And that whole There are too many strollers in the parks is just a bunch of hooey. Maybe I think there are too many backpacks in the parks. People don't watch how they walk and take up too much space with them! (not really, but that is how silly some anti-stroller posters sound).

I for one wouldn't be appalled at seeing a seven or nine year old in a stroller. That is, if I even noticed. I'm too busy having fun with my family to eye other people's kids and guess their ages, and if I think they should be in a stroller or not.

I think I will take this stroller next time for my 2 DDs, just for the heck of it:lmao:

funny, I don't see it as WW3.. just people exchanging opinions, which were asked for.:confused3:)

This is how you can tell if your kids are too old/big to be in a stroller....

Place child in stroller, then proceed to take a picture of child/children in said stroller, then look at that picture.

Does your child look ridiculous? If the answer is yes, then they don't need a stroller. If the answer is no, then stroll away until your back and legs burn from pushing them all day in the hot Florida sun.

Strollers are a giant pain in the neck. Seriously. You have to park them, remember where you parked them, push them around everywhere (probably empty half the time!) I say don't bother.

Depends on what your family is like. We took a stroller for my sister when she was almost seven because we went from rope drop to when they start ushering you out of the park after midnight. We liked that we could store our stuff underneath and she had somewhere to sit when her feet were tired after over fifteen hours of walking.
