Good morning All!!

DH and I have finally decided to go with the Baby Jogger City Mini GT, but now can't decide what color. I was thinking lime because of being the dis color, but DH wants red to match the car seat. Which color do you think would be easier to pick out of the sea of strollers at disney? We are expecting our first little princess in December, and haven't really paid attention to the color of strollers at disney before:)

I don't think one color stroller is easier to pick out than another. However, when we bought our city mini, I bought a color that was new that year. My thought was that there would be fewer rental strollers in that color and it would be easier to pick out in the sea of strollers.

I would pick whichever color you like best. You could always tie a colorful ribbon to the handle to make it easier to identify too.

In the 3 trips that we have taken with our Crimson Red double city mini stroller, I have seen a lot of red, black, and orange rentals.

Black is universal and easy to sell down the road if you want to.

We have a black one and will put some ribbons or bandanas on the handle to tell it apart from the others.

We are planning on using it down the road for other babes as this is our first, so I'm not sure how resell-able it will be by the time we finish with it:confused3 We will certainly be decorating it (that is one of the most fun parts, right?!) but also didn't want to be one of the other 1000 like it there.

Thanks! I kind of figured red would be popular, but we may end up going with that anyways. DH says it fits for mickey and minnie and a firetruck haha

That was my thought as well, but both the red and lime are new, which is creating the issue. I've been trying to convince DH on getting the Baby Jogger City Elite in Red, and then getting either the Britax BAgile or Baby Jogger City Mini in green, but he doesn't see the need for 2 strollers :(

Do any of you have more than 1 stroller? I"m thinking I would like the big tires for outside outings, and the more compact and smaller tires for the mall and such.

I have more strollers than my husband wants me to that is for sure ;) As for single strollers, I have a jogging stroller, the First Years Ignite and a cheapo umbrella stroller. I used to have a Chicco one that came with our infant car seat but when I gave our car seat to a relative I gave her the stroller as well, not that I miss it ;)
We also have 2 double strollers, a jogger and a combi twin. With my girls I had a Graco DuoGlider...that thing was monstrous.
I keep wanting to get rid of some but they each have a use, the only one at this point I'd be willing to part with is the cheap umbrella stroller. The others have a purpose. There are just no compact size jogging strollers and I'm a runner. Sometimes I have both my boys with and sometimes I only have one. I probably could get rid of our Combi twin, my 4 year old only rides in a stroller when I am running now and he'll be 5 before next summer with no trips anywhere big this winter.

If being able to spot it in a crowd is your concern, probably as long as it isn’t grey with orange trim, which is the color of most of the rentals for GT, you’ll be fine.

My City Mini is blue with black trim and I don’t remember seeing any that color when I took it with us. I got it because the store had it on sale though. Ours is starting to show signs it shouldn’t take any more plane trips so I rented a City Mini on our last trip and the rental was black.

I have more than one stroller. My other is a 1st years Jet I believe. I liked it for trips when it isn’t as hot or going to the mall, but I still find myself using my City Mini the most. The Jet doesn’t have as much shade. My son has sensory issues and the City Mini is like a retreat for him. When he is overwhelmed, I know it because that shade comes all the way down.

The City Mini is a popular rental stroller. get whatever color you want and tie a ribbon to the handle. Strollers move so much from the time you park it just looking for a color isn't going to help.

I bet most people end up with more than one stroller eventually :) I know the car-seat adaptor stroller and an umbrella stroller were must-haves for us. And then a sit and stand when my first two kids got older. They are 10 and 7 now, so no stroller for them, but we also have a bonus baby now (6mo)! For him I wanted life to be as easy as possible, so I bought the Chicco Nuevo, which is an umbrella-style stroller that can hold the car seat. That way I don't have to deal with the massive car-seat stroller (HATE those) and have a stroller that folds up compactly. I also have a BOB running stroller, but that thing's massive, so it stays at home. Once baby outgrows the car seat, the umbrella-style Chicco is awesome.

I know as a 3rd time mom, more than anything (color, "style," pattern, etc) the convenience of the stroller was the most important thing. Namely, how easy it is to fold, how heavy it is (you'll be hoisting it into your trunk a LOT!), and how much space it takes up. If you want to keep it for years, think about those things first.

And congratulations! :)

I would get anything but orange, which is the color of most of the rental strollers.

I would go with black. Lime green is going to get SO dirty. Black will match anything and will mask the dirt well :)

It's easy to identify your stroller, even among 50+, if you tie something to the handle or have a backpack/bag hanging from it.

We've had a lime green & black joovy caboose for over 4 years and I like that it is easily seen from far away. It rained this last trip more than 50% of our time in the parks and even with our rain cover on, we could still easily identify our stroller from quite a distance.

Tying something to the handle hasn't always worked for us because often your stroller gets moved by CMs. It could be facing a different direction and you won't even see the handle from the direction you are coming from. I would avoid tying a bag to the handle, unless the bag is empty or you don't mind someone taking what is in the bag (we're jaded though- we've had things stolen off of our stroller).

We've also never had an issue keeping our green stroller clean. Our kids are 6, 3 and 5 months- our joovy is our daily stroller and has been on 4 trips to WDW. I definitely see a brightly colored stroller as a benefit!

Good luck with your choice!

DD had a very unique stroller- it was bright pink with a multi-colored 60's mod pattern. It was a Maclaren pattern that was only around a very short time I think. I had never been any place that we had seen another one like it until we went to WDW. Then, we came out of Muppets at DHS, and found a stroller just like it parked almost right next to it! I would recommend that you get some obnoxious wide bright ribbon and tie a bow or two on it. Ours had lime green polka dot bows I had tied on each side, and without those, I might very well have grabbed the other person's stroller thinking it was ours. I would get whatever stroller you like best, and then put some identifying ribbon or something on it for WDW.
