The stroller I want to take is a very old Maclaren, but it doesn't have a canopy/sunshade. I have been looking for some kind of attachment and everything is to extend the stroller's original canopy. I have also found a car seat sunshade that kinda looks like it may work on a stroller.

So, what do all the people that have strollers without a canopy do?

Really old Macs didn't have hoods; people tended not to use them in the UK until recently. (If you'll notice, a lot of the photos on the UK site show them without hoods.)

The usual solution is a clamp-on parasol, or two of them.

not sure what model you have, but you could also call maclaren and see if they have a hood available- I know the old Volo's you had to buy the hood separately.

You can order replacement parts, or in your case, additional parts, including hoods and seats, on the Maclaren website under the customer service button. I don't know how old old is, but it goes back a few years. If it's older than that, would a hood for today's stroller fit? If so, just select one that would work in a color you want. Also great for changing out old stroller seats, etc, but it is a bit pricey.

For our last Disney trip, I purchased the "Kiddapotamus Ray Shade" (about $18) -- it is a sun-shade attachment and has amazing sun coverage. Velcroes onto your stroller, and easy to adjust for varying degrees of protection. It's not waterproof, but I thought it was a good value.

I have seen these and it is actually what I want, but it says it is used with the strollers current canopy. Would it work without it too? Or would it flop around, lol?

These do need an actual shade underneath in order to work. They are very lightweight and need something solid underneath to attach to. I have one as well and have used it on different strollers. It does work really well even if the original shade is small though. I don't know if you are unable to locate a shade for the stroller or maybe can get crafty and rig something more solid up and then be able to attach a Rayshade to that. LOL I have no idea on how to do that but if you can just get something solid under it, maybe it would work. :confused3
