Hi All,

Well, it is weigh in day, and my weight is 204.5. I am down .5 pounds. I am ok with that. I generally lose really SLOWLY, so any loss is a victory. I am actually expecting gains for the next month because I am going to start weight lifting again. I'm in this long term. I know there isn't a quick fix.

Today I am preparing for my weekend of work. I do 3 12 hour shifts. I will get to as many journals today that I can, but I probably won't be around until Monday.
Plan for the day...
Katie goes to school, I go to the y.
Make a chicken salad for work.
Clean the bathrooms that didn't get done yesterday.
NAP!!!!
Work.

Meal Plan for the day...
B:1 slice of peanut butter toast.
S: celery with cheese.
L: Salad.
5PM: cappacino and string cheese.
9PM: small salad.
2AM: chicken salad.
730AM MS bar.

Ok, I need to get myself organized for the day. Have a great weekend guys.
Beth

The news about PG is good. I also was hoping for inpatient therapy, but she has to WANT to get help, so maybe the outpatient therapy will help her get to that point? I'll be praying that her medical team can get through to her.

You are being very wise about your father. I can't imagine how hard it must have been to talk to your mom. to you for bringing up a very difficult subject. Your mom also sounds wise in getting the doctor to address it and keeping your role as a positive supportive person. I'll keep him in my prayers also.

New boots and a dance party??? How fun!! I have to agree that the Naked Mole Rap is a hoot! It always makes me smile! :teeth:

Best wishes for sleep when you can, quick and easy shifts when you work, and a good weekend!

:cool1: Naked Mole Rap? Hey, I'll dance to it! Is it anything like the Hamster Dance? :cool1:

Beth, I'm glad to hear about PG. Finally, a plan of action! I hope that this gives you and Won some degree of peace about the whole situation?

:thewave: Beth gave back cookies! :thewave: You're a ROCK, woman, and you KNOW IT!

I know this impossible, but could you try NOT to work more than the 3 12s? It seems to me that you almost always get talked into working more. I know that you have to do what you have to do, but tell everyone it's Be Kind to Beth Weekend and you're sticking with the plan. Speaking of plans, you have a solid meal thing going here. I'd better get back to my journal and plan something, too.

Take care, Beth--
Erin

Thought I would recap the day.

My Mom brought these AWESOME cookies. They are my absolute favorites. She makes them only at Christmas, but didn't manage this year. They are a cream cheese dough filled with raspberry jam. make them into raviolis, bake, then dip in powdered sugar. She brought me 12. I ate one, gave 2 to Won, and sent the rest home with her. I gave myself the treat, but I didn't binge. It is a small victory in my book.
Beth

:worship: :worship: :worship: OMG I could NEVER EVER do that!!! That is not a small victory that is a HUGE, GIGANTIC victory!!!

I'm sorry to hear you are going through difficult times with your Dad. Its good that you are there for your Mom and that she can get the MD involved without getting your Dad upset. My prayers are with you.

Have a super Friday :cool1:

Hi. it's me again. I just need to post this before I forget about it.

I always take it easy on myself on Fridays. I need to work 12 hours tonight, yada, yada, yada. Well, I was at the Y with the plan to do 30 minutes on the glider. I got on the glider, and I wasn't into it at first, so I started my mental bargaining. I'll onl de 25 minutes today, etc. Then I stopped and thought of Sundie and Terry and Tera. They just do it. No excuses. I did 60 minutes on that blasted glider and burned an approximated 800 calories. I went to Barnes and Noble (I have a gift card) to pick up the new Linda Fairtein book. (BTW, if you preorder the Harry Potter book it will only be 17.99 instead of 30. Online too) I did the whole, you burned 800 calories, you can get a coffee thing. I walked past that Starbucks barista twice without the coffee. Big victories today.

Off to journals,
Beth

Way to go, Beth! :cheer2: Let's celebrate!!!! :rockband:

Beth, I am so glad that PG is finally getting the help she needs. It is a step in the right direction, even if it is a small one.

I also think that your mom's idea of talking to her doctor is a good one. This will allow you to be a source of support for your dad. Please know that you and your family are always in our prayers. :grouphug:

I know you have 3(12) hour shifts this weekend, so please take good care of you and rest and relax when you can.

Have a great weekend, Beth! :flower1:

Fantastic Beth! You should be very proud of the accomplishments you made today. Keep them in your mind so that you always remember what you can do when you set your mind to it!

I hope you have a good night at work and a great weekend! :flower1:

Beth, Girl, YOU ROCK!!!

YOU inspire ME!! You put in those hours and yet still workout. I seriously don't know how you do it. When I get tired and want to stop walking, it is WISHers like you that make me keep going. Thanks for being a part of my support group, and I am glad I am able to give you a push too! You know what, WE ALL ROCK!! Thanks for making me see that!

You did awesome on the glider and you avoided the coffee. That is great! :earseek:

I hope your shifts fly by this weekend. Get some rest ok? :flower1:

AWESOME BETH!!! Just awesome! You are doing such an great job! :cheer2:

BTW ~ I need a time and directions to your party! :flower1:

Have a good shift!

I can never walk past a starbucks! :) Great job girl! You really were able to yourself and your attitude around and that is just awesome. Making ourselves do the workouts and walk past the junk food is so hard! I know what you mean about not being into the workouts. Sometimes after a long day here I can tell I'm not as into my Curves workouts as I should be. I'm glad you were able to get in 60 minutes - and 800 calories! :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: Pat yourself on the back girl cause you are doing good!

Hi All,

I am back from yet another weekend of the neverending saga/drama I like to call work. I won't bore anyone with the greusome details, but I ran my behind off. I took 1 30 minute break in the 36+ hours I was there. We had 7 codes over the weekend, and incompetent moonlighter, and lots of drama. I was OP, but I didn't get in nearly enough water, and I feel all bloated and fat. I am physically and emotionally exhausted, but the fun is only beginning. Won "forgot" he agreed to do some training today. He was supposed to have the day off. Katie doesn't have school today. He was supposed to watch her, so I could sleep. Well, he forgot to mention it until I was headed out the door for work last night. I am now up until Won gets off work. Needless to say, it was not a pleasant conversation between us.

Plan for the day...

Do whatever it takes to stay upright.

I'll be honest. I don't think I will make it to journals today. I just can't sit daown right now.I have to keep moving. I will be catching up soon. I promise.

Beth

Good for you Beth! I am so proud of you that you stayed OP while having a busy time at work. Way to go!!! :cheer2:

Be sure and take good care of you today. Any chance that Katie might want to take an extra long nap this afternoon????;)

Take care of you, sweetie!

Beth! You must take care of yourself! I hope you are able to get some much needed rest!! :grouphug:

Hi Beth - Sorry it's been a few days since I've posted. You must be totally exhausted :earseek: My DH has done crap like that with me and he's paid dearly for it. Do not let him off for this.

I had to laugh when you said about how you wanted to quit on the glider after 30 minutes and Tera & Terry just do it, no excuses. Yeah RIGHT! I almost ALWAYS have to talk myself into getting past 20 minutes and then 30 minutes and then I'm usually good after that.

Try and get some rest

Oh Beth I hope you are getting a very much deserved rest as I type this. I honestly don't know how you do it. :confused3

:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: Working 3 12's in a row is hard enough but 3 7p to 7a shifts every weekend is brutal. Then you stay up to take care of Katie??? I worked Saturday night from 7 p to 3:30 a and I was dead tired. By the time I went to bed it was 5 am and I was up for 24 hours. I know that is nothing compared to what you do every week and I am in complete awe of you. Really I used to work nights but now that I am almost 40  (next month :sad1: ) I just can't do it. Plus with all the kids I am just dead tired. You should really pat yourself on the back and be so proud of you! Although I know it is hard on you, you stay OP for the most part and exercise your tail off. I still don't feel right and it is early Tuesday am (1 am). You totally rock and are so determined that you will accomplish anything! Again, my hat is off to you. :flower1:

 Believe me, I didn't do yesterday by choice. I made it through the day. I was worried that I was going to binge all day, but by noon, I was nauseated. When I am dead tired, I am nauseated and bone deep chilled. I had the thermostat up to 77 and was still cuddled on the couch with a down comforter. Only exercise was a "dance party" and some crunches. I went to bed at 8pm when Katie went to bed. From 7am Friday until 8pm Monday, I got 13 hours sleep. Won asked why I was cranky this morning. :sad2: Fortunately, Katie was an angel yesterday.

Today I have a headache and sore throat. I took some extra vitamin C and echinacea. What is really bothering me is my hands. They are so chapped from the soap this weekend, that they are bleeding. We have come to the conclusion that our antibacterial soap can be used for paint stripping. I am slathered in lotion.
We have dance today, and grocery shopping. We will go to the Y, so Katie can get some exercise. I will just do some walking on the treadmill. I am not up to a full workout. I will hit journals this afternoon/evening.

Food yesterday...
B: Scrambled eggs and cappacino.
L: 1 peice of peanut butter toast.
D: LC salad from TGIFriday's.
S: carbsmart vanilla steamer.

Food today...
B: Scrambled eggs and green tea.
L: salad from Meijer's salad bar.
D: salad and blt's (DH is craving a blt.)
I have cheese and celery for snacks, and I plan on picking up some berries too.

Ok, I need to :moped: outta here.

Have a great day,
Beth
