String's Atkin's Journal (Please Comment)

Beth, you sound like you're hanging in there - good for you! You treated yourself to a legal treat (that chocolate whipped cream with strawberries sounds SOOOO good!). You're going to get your exercise in. You do very well at treating yourself like the wonderful woman you are!

I'm sending more    - can you ever have too many??

Recap...
1.) Meds 28/28.
2.) Water 28/28.
3.) Exercise 21/28, soon to be 22.
4.) Family 28/28.
5.) Food 27/28.

Weigh in was today. I'm 215.5. I'm down another pound. 2 more for my next clippie. I'm not stressing over how slow it is going. I take measurements on the 1st. I'll be interested to see what all these weights are doing. I've always said I would rather lose inches over pounds.

I went to the Y as planned yesterday, but didn't follow my plan for treaddie and bike. I was enjoying the time on the treaddie, so I kept going. I did 5 Miles! I was exhausted after, but I was proud of myself.

I'm headed back as soon as I am done with this post. I will be doing 2 weight circuits and time on the bike.

I work a 16 hour shift tonight. I am grilling some tuna steaks for dinner, so I'll take one with me. I am also taking some berries and a salad. 3 liters of water. Back to reality. 12 hours tomorrow, then I think I'm taking Katie to my parents for a couple of days. I will be more comfortable with her out of town, and won could use some time to himself.

I will check in later. I hope to get to all journals before I head into work. I'm sending goodvibes to all.
Beth

I am :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Down a pound - YAY!!!!

5 miles on the treadie - WOW!! Good for you! :jumping3: :Pinkbounc :jumping3: :Pinkbounc :jumping3:

Your menu sounds yummy! Your work schedule sounds daunting but you know you can do it. I love the idea of you taking some time off next week. It will do you and Katie a world of good to visit your parents and Won will be able to have some time to sort things out. Beth, you do an awesome job of taking good care of you and your family!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

I'm sending extra :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: and some pretty :flower2: :flower2: :flower2: to brighten your day!

Hi, Beth! I hope you have a good day/night at work and then can get away and enjoy some relaxing time w/Katie and your folks. You're doing a great job holding it all together. Maybe your parents can give you a little nurturing.

Have a good Memorial Day. I'll stop by early next week.

Erin

Beth:

All I can say - is when it rains, it pours. I'm so proud of you for getting through it all and still maintaining your health and sanity.

PG sounds like she could use some serious family counseling. I've told you before that my FIL and I do not get along...it causes a great deal of stress for my DH. We don't have children - something he doesn't ever let up on (and it's really not his business why we don't or can't). But I can only imagine the treatment they'd be exposed to if we did!

Your family is American. In America, we are supposed to have respect for one another regardless of where our ancestors came from. You can't control who you fall in love with - I really believe that when you meet your soulmate that it wouldn't matter if they had two heads...they would be your soulmate. Your DH sounds like an incredible human being - loving, supportive, a great father! It is amazing that he is what he is considering how his mother treats people.

Your Katie's food alergies are tough to avoid - especially if food service workers don't have a clue as what ingredients are really in their products. Cross contamination at an ice cream store is entirely possible if they aren't careful. People without food allergies have no clue how dangerous it can be for those who do. But talk about bad timing - coming home from the ER and PG is there to exacerbate the situation!

Legalwise...I put myself through college working as a paralegal. Every state has different laws, but most judges would refer the whole situation to mediation before allowing anything visitation-wise to go to court. Mediation in your case might be a good solution - it would force PG to deal with her predjudice. Any mediator would see through her attitude in a heartbeat - I'm surprised that her attorney hasn't been open and honest about the issue being her problem.

I think you are being very wise in limiting her access to Katie. You and your daughters relationship is the most important thing. She does not need any influence in her life that undermines that relationship. You and DH's relationship is also way more important than that of his with his mother. She needs to make a choice of being part of the family - treating you with respect - or not having contact with her son and grandaughter.

Hang in there. Have a good productive weekend at work and a much better week. Thank you again for the wonderful words in my journal. You really made me feel better.

-Laurie

Congrats on the loss:Pinkbounc Hope work went well for you last night. I also think it wise to have Katie at your parents. It will give everyone a much needed break and she will have a good time. :D

Beth- I just got caught up on your journal and I am speechless. Hang in there, honey. You and Won have made a smart choice so just stick with your decision and hope for the best. I am so sorry you have to go through this mess on top of everything else in your busy life. You are a very strong person and I know you can handle it. Be good to yourself this weekend.
I am sure this is very hard for Won. Do something nice for him too.
Wishing you a peaceful weekend
Mary
PS: Congrats on the loss!!!

Just a few minutes before I collapse.:faint: I survived my weekend at work, but I am out of practive at staying up all night. It really took a toll on me. I plan on sleeping for at least 6 hours, then Kate an I go to my parents house. We'll be there until Monday night. They have a treaddie, so I plan on doing 4 miles today and 3 tomorrow. No exercise yesterday, butt I have been OP. I keep forgetting to roll my bear. I'll do that after this post. To my knowledge there has been no further contact with PG. I'm not sure Won would tell me if he has talked to her. He doesn't want me to be upset any more. I've started biting my nails again. Sure sign that I am STRESSED OUT. Will have to work on that again.

I am sorry that I haven't gotten to journals in the last few days. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. :goodvibes to all.
Beth

Good morning Beth,
I'm glad that you got through your weekend at work and I hope that you get some much needed sleep. Please know that we are praying for you and your situation with PG.

Way to go staying OP through all of this!:Pinkbounc Plus, you posted a weight loss which is wonderful!:jumping1: Keep up the good work!

Enjoy the rest of your memorial Day weekend!

Tracy :wave2:

I'm using mu mom's computer, so I'll only do this one post now. I'll be at home tonight. I am not rolling over my bear. I had some lc ice cream. I came in underpoints, but I didn't want to eat it. I ate it because I was bored and everyone else was having dessert. If I had been the least bit hungry, then ok, but I wasn't. I am counting it as a cheat. 3 miles on the treaddie. I'll be leaving for home this afternoon. Have a great day.
Beth

Considering everything you have been going through I would not consider that a total cheat. Maybe just a little slip since you weren't hungry. You have been doing great staying OP and should be patting yourself on the back. Have a good day.:D

:wave2: Hi Beth,
I hope you had a nice stay at your mom's and got some rest :D . I'm glad that you haven't had to deal with any more stress from PG for the time being. You remain in my thoughts and prayers  .

So I'm pathetic. I tackled Won on the phone last night. I need to at least have a date for our next disney trip. We will be going Dec.3rd to the 12th 2005. More if i can convince Won. I have something concrete to save for and look forward to. I even had to do the countdown tmer. Won doesn't get the obsession, but oh well. I'm going to be checking airlines for the next year to get a general idea of when it is cheapest to buy tickets.

Today went well. I did 2 miles on the treaddie, and stayed OP. Went shopping for my sister's baby shower. I spent way too much money, but oh well. The shower is next Sunday, and I have a ton to do for it. I am doing all the work, while my Mom is footing most of the bill. It is coed, so we're having grilling steaks and chicken. I designed the menu, so there will be things I can eat. I purchased some bodysuits, stamps and fabric paints. if people want to decorate an outfit fot the baby they can. We're doing cheesy games because my Mom wants to. Word scramble, mystery bag, and how big is Mom to be, but it will be how big are Marnie and Josh when hugging. My sister is HUGE! If i didn't see the ultrasound, I would think it is twins. For party favors I am making some homemade bath salts and votives for the women. The guys are getting a grilling pack, marinades, sauces etc. It is sad bacause Josh's family won't come. His parents divorced, and Josh chose to live with his dad. His family has never forgiven him.

I need to do a few things around the house, and then I hope to hit journals. I am tired, so it will be an early night.
Beth

Don't feel too silly about planning in advance, Beth. I think I can beat you there ;). Just the other day I was talking to my DH about the trip I want to take to WDW after the one we have planned (if you notice we have quite a wait for THAT one). It's official that we will be going to the World for my 30th birthday :Pinkbounc :bounce: ! Did I mention that I don't turn 30 until 2007  ?! Yes, a trip planned three years in the future. Still made my day, though :sunny: . Hope you have a nice night :wave2: .

Hey Beth!
Adding a countdown timer is just as much fun as adding a brand new clippie isn't it? :teeth: I love planning WDW trips! It gives us something to look forward to when times are tough.

That baby shower sounds like a lot of fun! I hope that everything goes well. ::yes::

Have a great day tomorrow Beth! Keep up the good work staying OP and exercising!

Tracy:wave2:

I need to stop at the health food store for essential oils, and Good party for kids party goodies. I just found out there will be 5 kids there. Kids weren't included in the invite. My mom has no backbone when it comes to these things. I need to make dinner andtake Katie to swim lessons. I will work out then. 1 hr on the treaddie. When we come home I need to move all the furniture for the exterminator coming in the AM.:faint: :faint:
I will be doing journals in little bunches today. The site was just too slow last night. I lost 3 posts, so I gave up.

Have a good one.
Beth

You've got a lot going on today! Beth I think you are being a bit to hard on yourself - your numbers look great! And down 5 inches - that is awesome! I need to start measuring myself - actually I think I will do that today.

Have a great day today and remember to do something special for yourself!

~Amanda

Beth- I agree with Amanda- be proud of yourself- you are making excellent progress.
