Where to start...
We had a great time. The great Bear lodge is Awesome. It looks like a huge log cabin lodge. It is all suites, so I was able to read after Kate was in bed. The lobby has a fire at all times, and they do activites fro kids, like crafts and story time. The waterpark is amazing. There is a 4 story play structure with a bucket at the top that dumps 700 gallons of water every 3 minutes. There are mini slides for little ones, body slides, and tube slides, 2 whilrpools, a kiddie pool with fountains, a lazy river,a mini obstical course, a regular pool, and they are adding to it. It is noisy and high energy, and a lot of fun. Kate's favorite was the tube slides with Daddy. She has turned into a little fish, and wore herself out.
Cedar Point was fun. The forecast was for tstorms off and on, but we decided to go for it anyways. It was deserted. We never wailted for a ride. Katie loved the kiddie rides ,and "roller coasters" On the jr. gemini, she informed me that she was a big kid and didn't need me to ride with her. She rodet 11 times. It was a different experience for me. It is a thrill park. It has always been about the coasters. I did go on Millenium Force. It was awesome, but I had more fun with Katie and riding the "dizzy rides "with her. Won won't do spinning rides, so he wandered and did some coasters. It wasn't Disney but it was fun.
Food was OP. Eggs/omelets for breakfast. Burgers for lunch. Thursday dinner was at Red Lobster, Kate's choice. I had grilled salmon with veggies and ceasar salad.
Firday we were going to go to a Mexican place, but it was roped off with police tape and people were being led away in handcuffs. We found out on the news that there was a robbery, and some one was shot. We didn't eat ther. We headed to Outback. I had salad, Outback Special and veggies. Saturday dinner was at Don Pablos. I had the lc fajitas, and best of all a 2 carbs margarita. It was aewsome. A bit tart with lots of salt. I can now stay OP knowing that when I need my fix, I can have a legal rita.
Now for the funny things. On the way back, I was driving. A semi in front of us lost part of it's load. I was stunt driving around Diaper Genies. It lost about8-10 of them. I managed to avoid them. I could just imagine telling the insurance company that we were taken out by diaper genies.
Now for the embarrassment. I was on the treadmill at the hotel. It was at the end of my 3 mile, so I blame oxygen deprivation. A very nice looking guy on the treaddie asked me for coffee. I was so surprised and taken aback that I forgot to keep walking and fell off the treaddie. The only thing hurt was my pride. I got back on and finished the mile. We laughed about it, and I swore him to secrecy. I can now laugh at it.
I'll be working on journals through the day. Have a good one.
