String's Atkin's Journal (Please Comment)

Just a quick recap before I head to bed. I did make it to Curves. Katie and I went for a 1.5 mile run. That kid can book. I managed to stay OP today.
1. Meds 14/14
2. Water 4l 14/14
3. Exercise 12/14
4. Meals 14/14 It was as planned, but I traded decaf tea for the steamer.

Now the important things. AI. Quenten Tarrentino was hilarious. I really want the Weasley off, but he did ok. I thought the Jennifer and Latoya did a phenomenal job. I still don't like Fantasia, but she did a great job. I love George, but he chose the wrong song.If I had to make a guess, I think Diana gets booted tomorrow.

I'm off to bed.
Have a good one,
Beth

Hey Beth,

I also think that Diana will go tomorrow. I love George, but feel that he didn't choose the right song. My two favorites tonight were Jennifer and Latoya, with Jennifer in #1 for me. She has an awesome voice!

You are staying with the healthy eating and exercise! That's great!:Pinkbounc

I made a discovery today. I like grapefruit. My mom would always try to get me to eat it with sugar. I wanted no part of it. I had some for breakfast with 1/2 packet of splenda. Worh every carb. I love it now. I could easily eat it all day long. Can you tell I liked it? Weird how tastes can change after being on this diet for a while.

Plan for the day... More laundry and I need to clean all the bathrooms. My 2 least favorite jobs. I will go to Curves tonight when Katie is in swim lessons, and we will probably go for another walk/run as well. I also plan on taking her to the park.

Meals..
Breakfast was 1/2 grapefruit with 1/2 packet of splenda and 2 Jimmy Dean sausage patties. Tea

Lunch will be scrambled eggs with cheese.

I'm still working on dinner. It will be chicken, salad, and cauliflower I'm just not sure how I will prepare them.

I'll check in tonight after AI. I hope everyone has a :sunny: day.
Beth

Beth, your stats for the month are lookin' soooo good!!! You are amazing! All 4 of your goals are on track.

I loved the visual of Won and Katie skipping rope together! She's a very lucky little girl to have such a great dad!

It's also fantastic that your mom is so supportive of you!! She was willing to change the location to make things less tempting for you and your eating plan - how sweet!!

I hope you have a wonderful Thursday! Soak up all the rest you can in preparation for your long weekend, OK?

Good morning Beth,
Please don't think I am disappointed about the June 1st challenge. I completely understand and forgot about the meds that you are taking. I'm not sure that I can make the June 1st challenge myself. How about we have a huge clippie party when we get to Onederland, okay?!::yes::

I agree with you about AI last night. I think Diana may be voted off tonight. Although John Stevens is not my favorite, he did well last night so I think he may get through to the next round. I think my favorite is George. He had a bad night last night, but he'll come back next week. There is just something so likeable about him. ::yes::

Have a wonderful day today Beth! Have fun at the park!
Tracy:wave2:

:wave2: Hi Beth,
Your husband sure sounds like a keeper. That was a beautiful story about him teaching your daughter how to skip rope :D . Hope the cleaning of the bathrooms went okay. That is my least favorite thing to clean as well but luckily we only have one
 .

Isn't it strange how our tastes change? Lately I can't get enough string beans and it's not something I used to be particularly fond of. I'm glad you found out you like the grapefruit because it's so great for you :D .

I don't think Weasley is going home but I am hoping he's at least in the bottem three. We can hope, right  ?!

Have a great day :sunny: !

Hi Beth,

Just checking in with you. Hope you are having a good day with lots of :sunny:

I reached a milestone today. I have officially been LIVING HEALTHY for 100 days in 2004. Add to that I did 12 of Lisa's manly pushups. I haven't even tried since High School for football tryouts.

Things didn't go as planned today, but I managed to get my exercise in and stay OP. Won had to work late, so I couldn't go to Curves. I had to take Kate to swim lessons. This also messed with my dinner timing. If I wanted to workout, I couldn't eat a full meat. Put Katie to bed, then did the 3 mile WAtp.

Recap
1.) Meds-15/15.
2.) Water- 15/15. I had 4 liters today.
3.) Exercise-3 mi WATP, 12 push ups, some upper body free weights. 13/15.
4.) Meals-15/15
Breakfast-1/2 grapefruit and sausage. Tea
Lunch-ham cheese tortilla and Danon lc yogurt.
Snack-1.5 tablespoon peanutbutter on lc bread
Dinner-1 cup fauxtatoes.

I should have had some form of protein with dinner, but I would have been sick during my workout. I had to choose between food/exercise.

My TIVO flaked out on me, so I didn't get to see AI, . Oh well, that's life.

I hope everyone has a good night,
Beth

Hey Beth!

I have not liked grapefruit all of my life until about 6 months ago. My DH has always liked them. I always wondered how he could eat those. Now I can eat them without sugar. I think that I can start eating fruit Monday. You seem to have had a good day, except for missing AI. We watched and were pleased with the results.

Good night! Carol:D

I weighed in today. I'm down to 221.5. Down 1.5 pounds this week. I'm happy with that. I just need to keep plugging along.

I'm sick again. I'm pretty sure I have a sinus infection. This is not good timing. I'm working back to back 16 hour shifts today. Won is working from home this afternoon, so I can nap. I'm packing my suitcase of food. Actually, I'll pack 2, one for Friday and one for Saturday. That way I can sleep an extra 30 minutes Saturday.

I'm going to hit some journals. I probably won't get back to journals until Sunday night oe Monday morning. I'm sending :goodvibes to all. Have a good weekend.
:sunny:
Beth

Recap and plan for day...
1.)Meds taken 16/16.
2.) Water- I've already hit 3l, I'm trying to drown this bug. 16/16.
3.) 2 mile walk pushing Katie in the stroller, and then 1 mile of her walking. We did take a 10 minute break for her to feed the ducks.
4.) Food- My suitcase is packed.
B=1/2 grapefruit and 2 sausage patties.
L= ham cheese wrap and 1 cup faux potatoes.
Snack= String cheese and latte.
Dinner (1AM) = chicken salad, strawberries, sf jello.
Breakfast(5AM)= piece of crustless spinach quiche
Saturday will repeat the pattern, but I'm out of saausage and will skip the wrap/potato.

Beth: Oh do I hate sinus headaches! A guy I worked with a long long time ago told me to visualize what the headache looked like...for example when I get a sinus headache it's bright blue with spikes that swell and poke at my eyes from the inside. My goal is to face the little demon and do what I can to blunt his horns and make him shrink. The visualization sometimes helps ease than pain more than Advil or Tylenol does. You might try it.

You story about your DH and Katie is so precious! What a lucky little girl she is.

Wishing you a very smooth weekend at work. (and I'm so glad the scale cooperated this week...mine is "on strike".)

-Laurie:sunny:

Good evening Beth,
Healing :wizard: and  for you today Beth. I'm sorry that you're not feeling well. I bet that your day brightened up a little with the scale going down! Woohoo ! Congratulations on your weight loss!:jumping1:

I hope that all goes well for you at work this weekend. Take good care of you Beth!

Tracy:wave2:

Beth  I do hope your weekend goes well and you're feeling better!!!

Congrats on getting that scale to move! One day at a time ;) We'll all make it happen ::yes::

:wave2: Hi Beth,
Congrats on the weight loss:Pinkbounc :bounce:! Sending some :wizard: to help get you through your busy weekend. Hope you get through it all OP :sunny: !

I have completed my 101st healthy day. I'll keep plugging along. I'm literally on the way out the door. Last night didn't go as planned. We were insanely busy. I had the anxiety twins for patients. I was frazzled by the end of the night. I did manage to eat my chicken salad, but nothing else. My sinus infection has given me a terrible headache, so I came home and collapsed. I had my piece of quiche just now. I didn't exercise yet today. I am hoping to take a walk on my break. We'll see, we're short staffeed again tonight.
Recap:
1.) Meds 17/17.
2.)Water- I've had 1 liter so far today. 16/17.
3.) Exercise- Not yet-14/17.
4.) Meals- I'm taking chicken salad, my grapefruit, an another piece of quiche. I live in hope of eating some of it.

Have a good one,
Beth

Hey Beth! Congratulations on your accomplishement of 101 days of healthy living! Sometimes, it is hard to eat all that you really need to. I hope that you are feeling better soon!
:yo-yo:

Carol:D

Hi Beth,

Here's hoping for a more "quiet" sane time at work. Ok, at least I hope you get to eat and use the facilities. We are often shortstaffed as well and sometimes I do nothing for myself until after my shift is over.:( Hope you had a better time of it today. If not, it is almost over. I go in for 12 tomorrow. Hope I get to at least eat something! If I get to use the bathroom sometime during the day it will be a double bonus!! LOL:p

Sighs, last night wasn't much better. I did get to eat my chicken salad and quiche. I even got to go to the bathroom twice, wilderness;) . I did not get a chance to walk on my supposed "Break". I did do chest compressions for 15 minutes. Almost as good as crunchers , if you tighten your abs while doing them. It's getting old, they keep "trimming our staff". We used to run with 8 or 9 nurses, now it is 6,7, and if we're lucky 8. OOur accuity has gone up as well. This is everywhere in nursing, and it is sad. Then they wonder why there is a shortage. Done ranting.

:bounce: I'm on vacation! I have next weekend off for our taditional family weekend.:bounce:

I'm off to bed. I WILL take a walk today.
Recap:
Meds-I've taken them 18/18.
Water-17/18.
Exercise-14/18
Meals- Breakfast was quiche and tea. I haven't a clue what dinner will be. I do know I will not be cooking it. I hope to get DH to order in.

Enjoy your Sunday,
Beth
