Hi Beth-

Stick with your plan - it sounds like a real winner to me!:smooth:

P.S. I noticed your bear - he looks FABULOUS!! Cheat Free every day this month so far!Wow! :smooth:

Beth, I'm so glad you got to enjoy the Lion King! I've heard it's fabulous. I bet Katie's eyes were as big as saucers, taking it all in!

Enjoy your unrushed workout time this afternoon!! :sunny:

Hi Beth,

I'm checking to see how you are doing. Good for you with resisting those jelly beans. I had no idea they have so many carbs. I think your meal at Red Lobster sounds fabulous! Even though your weight is up, you still appear upbeat and that's half the battle.

I know that evil scale will be cooperating with you soon. Take care and keep your sunny attitude! :)

Hi Beth,

The play sounded great. I have heard so many great reviews from it. Sorry about the pound up. I bet it is muscle. You sound like you are doing great. Thanks for the heads up about the jelly beans. I LOVE jelly beans but had no idea they were worth so many carbs. Makes sense since they are sugar, sugar, sugar. That is what makes them good though! I am glad they will not be front and center so much in the stores anymore. They have been hard to resist but with the knowledge you gave us they have just become a little easier.

Hey Strings! You are doing great!!!:earseek: I cannot imagine myself at where you are!!! Keep up the good work!!!:teeth:

Carol

Carol, you will definately get here and beyond. Just keep plugging along.

I woke up this morning, and found snow on the ground.:scared1: In fact it is still snowing. Not what I wanted to see, but I'll deal with it. I won't be walking outside today, so it will have to be the WATP tape.

Sorry, I didn't get to many journals yesterday. While I was making dinner, Katie overflowed a toilet. She always uses too much toilet paper. We ended up with a flood in the baswement and a very wet little girl. It put me a little behind. I was stressed last night, and almost binged. DH even offered to get me an apple pie and ice cream. I grabbed my crossstitch and got to work. I really did help. I ate nothing after dinner, but i was really close to being offf program. Unfortunately, I can't depend on doing cross stitch 24/7. Must work on emotional eating.

Plan for the day:
Breakfast-Tea and Ms bar.
Lunch- salad with leftover steak.
Dinner will be chicken fajitas with zucchini and summer squash. I will only have 1 with a tortilla. I'll eat the rest with a fork. Salad.

1.) Meds taken. 13/13
2.) Water only 1/2 liter so far.
3.) Still need to exercise.
4.) See above.

:( Still a long way to those goals, but I'll get there. Have a good day everyone. Novel finished.

Hi Beth! Here's a  for you because you just don't sound like your usual chipper self! Snow on April 13 would do that to me too!
Sounds like you have a great plan for today. Stick with it and you'll do fine. I know what you mean about that emotional eating! But the fact that we recognize it is a step in the right direction. And then you had a plan to overcome it with your cross-stitch, so good for you!::yes:: You beat it this round!:Pinkbounc It is something we will all keep working on. Sometimes we'll win, sometimes we'll lose. But if we keep improving, then we are okay!:teeth:
Have a great day Beth! I hope that S**W melts real quick! :sunny:

I hear ya - what is up with the cold weather! Last week I was wearing skirts and capris - today I'm back in a sweater. I want my :sunny: back!

Don't you just hate stressful situations? I find that journaling really helps me out. I keep a journal at home and I write in it a little everyday to help keep me focused on my goals. You may want to try journaling the next time a stressful situation comes your way - it is a really great exercise.

Beth,
 for you today, my friend. I know what you mean about this snow. ::yes:: It is rumored to be in the 60s and sunny by the end of the week, so let's hope that forecast holds.:sunny:

You did a great job overcoming the apple pie and ice cream urge. ::yes:: You had a plan in place and you stuck to it. Good for you, Beth!:

I hope today is a wonderful day for you! Take good care of you!

Tracy:teeth:

:wave2: Hi Beth,
Blech! I hope that snow takes a hike very soon. Congrats on fighting those cravings last night. I KNOW how hard that is and I am so impressed that you threw your energy into your cross stitch instead of eating ::yes:: ! I'm hoping today is a good one for you.

Oooh- did you see Lion King? My husband took me to NY for my birthday 2 years ago and surprised me with tickets- it was terrific. Disney spent millions rehabbing the theatre and it was gorgeous.
Just stay focussed on your goals- you are doing great. I think a narrowly averted binge is inspiring. Aren't you proud you were more powerful than the craving?
Remember- YOU HAVE THE POWER!!!

:Pinkbounc :bounce: Good job at fighting off that emotional eating. I do that myself and it is very easy to fall back into that. Good for you that you held off. Today will be a better day.:D

Beth, you are inspiring me at this very moment!!! I was about to give in to the EVM (again! ) but if you could resist, then so will I!!! ::yes:: I only have to make it another half hour and then I can leave work and the EVM behind!

Congrats on finding a better way to deal with your cravings!!! :sunny:

:scared1: NO AMERICAN IDOL TONITE! What will I do without my AI fix!?! Who does Bush think he is, president or something. I wonder if this will effect the election. Will Bush lose votes because he messed with the AI schedule. Ok, my tongue is out of my cheek now. At least it is on tomorrow, and I don't have to wait an entire week.

I want to thank everyone for all their encouragement today. It really has helped tremendously. I am fortunate that my computer is in the kitchen. I can check in while cooking, DD's at the table, all day long. I can come and chek journals when I am feeling weak, and all of inspire me daily to stay on track. Thanks again.

Dinner was really yummy. I didn't even have a tortilla, just salad. The kitchen is now closed. I have my cross stitch available if needed.;)

I have been plugging every bite into Fitday. I'll be interested in seeing if my numbers work when I weigh in on Friday.

Recap:
1.)Meds 13/13.
2.) water 3.5 liters so far. 13/13.
3.) Exercise-3 mile WATP with weights 11/13.
4.) Yep, OP. 13/13.

Have a lovely evening.
Beth

 Good morning, Beth! Just dropping in to say "hi." You're doing so great--you're so consistent and determined. What wonderful personal qualities to have as you walk this journey.

Did you know that you're inspiring me to get out my cross stitch? This weekend I started to get the urge to work on a piece that's been hidden away for awhile. I might just look for it this weekend. The only problem I have, though, is that when I come home tired from work I get cross-eyed  trying to stitch! Mornings are definitely best for me!:p

OK, girlfriend, have yourself a great Wednesday. Don't let any cuties anywhere near that toilet with a roll of t. paper!:p

Hugs,

Erin

Good morning Beth!
I'm kinda glad that AI wasn't on last night because my MIL called me panicked about by BIL and SIL taxes that she was trying to figure for them. So from 8-11, I was at her house trying to help her sort out the mess. Let's just say that I would much rather have watched AI.:teeth:

You are doing a wonderful job on your goals, Beth! Kepe up the good work!:Pinkbounc

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Hi everyone,

Last night was one of those nights where I realized how lucky I am. DM called, she wanted to know if I wanted to change the location of our family weekend next weekend. Frankenmuth is known for 3 things, fudge, Bronner's (largest XMAS store in the world), and Zehnder's. Zenders makes these incredible family stle chicken dinners with homemade egg noodles, cranberry relish, stuffing, mashed potatoes etc... DM wanted to know if it would be too hard to stick to my diet. I explained that I need to be able to incorporate holidays and family traditions into my new lifestyle, or it wouldn't last. This is for life. Yes, I will be higher carb than normal that weekend, but I'll be right back on track Monday. My mom is awesome.

The 2nd thing is a visual. Won is a 6'1" 260lb Korean. He has scars all over his arms. Most people are pretty intimidated when they first meet him, but he's a teddy bear. Katie got a jump rope in her easter basket. Won spent the evening outside with Katie and their jumpropes teaching her to skip rope. They then skipped rope together around the block. I got video of it. He is so sweet with Kate. I love my dad, but the only thing he ever taught me was to drive. Katie will have so many memoris of her time with Dad.

I'm headed to Curves after I drop Katie off at school. 3 circuits today.

So far today...
1.) Meds 13/13.
2.) Water 2 l so far.
3.) Curves
4.) Food- higher calories today, but still op. I'm really hungry today. Probably because I have been pushing the exercise lately.
Breakfast-lc toast with peanut butter, tea.
Lunch- 2 ham/swiss roll ups, 1/2 cup cucumbers dipped in last nights guacamole, 1/4 cup strawberries.
Dinner will be ribs and lc cole slaw.
Snack will be vanilla steamer made with lc milk.

I'm looking forward to AI tonight. I'll fold laundry. When that is done, I'll work on my cross stitch. I only have until July. It is 10x13, so I have to keep at it. I wish she'd decided on her theme a little sooner. I'll get it done though.

I hope everyone has a great day.
Beth

:bounce: You're doing GREAT!!!! Having a plan of action is a wonderful idea...WAY TO GO!!! :Pinkbounc

Beth,
Thank you for sharing those special moments with us. What a blessed little girl your Katie is! She has a wonderful mom and dad who love her very much! ::yes:: That video and your memories are something that you can cherish for a lifetime. What a blessing!

Thank you for the post in my journal today. I am more than willing to join you in a Onederland by June 1st challenge! ::yes:: Let me know if you're interested, okay?

Enjoy the rest of your day Beth! Eagerly anticipating AI tonight!:Pinkbounc
