String's Atkin's Journal (Please Comment)

I just have time for this one quick post right now. Schedule for the day...
Daycamp/cardiowrkout at Y.
Laundry
Hit Costco and JCPenny for DF father's ay gift.
Dinner
Fold laundry.

I'm not too stressed today. I'm hoping to do 4 miles on the treaddie than 30 minutes on the bike. I'd also like to do some vaccuming. I told DH that he was responsible for the potluck.

Ok, gotta run. Take care. I hope to get to journals this afternoon.
Beth

Edit ...
I did my 4 miles on the treaddie and 15 minutes on the bike. We only lost a sock today. No one turned in Katie's shirt from yesterday. It's not a big deal. I just put the last load of laundry into the washer. Costco and Jcpenney done. I must have a sign in my car stating"Try to Hit Me" We almost were sideswiped 3 times. #1, an idiot pulling out of the gas station. #2 someone changing lanes without looking. #3 a old man who backs out of his parking spot without looking. Katie's response,"There sure are a lot of people who need to go to driving camp":p I am not getting into a car again today. I am now taking Katie for a bike ride. She rides, I jog.

Edit 2...

I will not be on the boards tomorrow. I take Katie to camp and I'll do my weight training then 3 miles on the treaddie. After camp, I will have Katie eat while I am doing her hair. We then go to preschool. I will need to pick Katie up a little early and redo hair/makeup/tutu. Then we'll head directly to rehearsal. I am a stage Mom for the rehearsal, so Won is picking up katie after work. Last years rehearsal went until 9PM. I won't be able to eat until it is over. I hope to be home by 930. I will then collapse.

I've noticed something. Since I have increased the intensity of my workouts, I'm always hungry. I ended up eating an extra peanut butter sandwich tonight. I need to rework my plans for the day. i had been doing 3 meals. I need to schedule some high protein snacks into my day. I'll have to think about this some tonight. Ok, enough rambling. I have presents to wrap.

Have a good one.
Beth

Beth, best wishes for a good day! I'm sending extra Pink
Energizer Bunny pixie dust your way for the long rehearsal this evening!

Good morning Beth!
I hope that you have a wonderful day today! Sending lots of :goodvibes and :wizard: to help you get through your day.

Tracy:wave2:

Good morning, Beth? How's it going? I loved Katie's observation that some people need driving camp. Sounds like you've got the same problems that I do out on the road!

Do you weigh in tomorrow? If so, here's some extra :wizard: for the scale. If it doesn't cooperate after all your exercise, I'm going to come over and kick the doggone thing.

Take care,
Erin

Good morning Beth!

Boy, oh boy, are you one busy lady! I'm tired from just catching up with your journal!! It sounds like you have everything under control though. Good for you! And WTG on the exercise despite your busy schedule.

Have a wonderful (though obviously busy) day and I hope you get to eat before it's too late in the evening!

This is me at the moment.:faint: Thank you all for the energizing pixie dust. I needed it. I ended up waking up at 445AM and knew I wouldn't fall back to sleep. I got up and went to the Y. I did 2 weight circuits and 45 minutes on the treaddie. Came home showered and got Katie off to camp. I finished laundry and cleaned the kitchen. Picked Katie up, fed her, and took her to school. I vaccummed the entire house, and then I went to Target to get the present for Katie's friend. I had forgotten to get it earlier in the week. Picked Katie up, got her changed, then off to rehearsal. There are 3 clesses of preballet, and thsi was the 1st time they had danced together. Utter chaos. Katie was the only one in the right spot. She did some of her dance, and then got distracted by the little girl who had wet her pants. Needless to say, it didn't go well. Won picked Kate up, and I stayed. There were technical problems with the speakers. Rehearsal ended at 1045. I went home, had an atkins bar, and went to sleep.

I am proud of myself today. I was very tempted to have Won drop Katie off at camp, so I could sleep. I didn't. I did my cardio workout. 4 miles on the treaddie in 1 hour. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc This is the first time I've been able to maintain the 15 minute mile for an entire hour. Then 1 did 30 minutes on the recumbent bike. This afternoon I am taking Katie to the library, and we'll be practicing for her recital. Poor kid is afraid she will just stand on the stage and wet her pants. she hasn't wet in over a year. We'll practice a little for the next few days. I'll be happy if she just goes on the stage.

Erin, weighin is indeed tomorrow. The scal better cooperate. I've logged 256 minutes of cardio this week plus weights (29,800lbs). If I don't see a loss, I'll send the the scale over for a good kick.

I hope to get to some journals today. Have a good one.

Good for you!! That is incredible!! By looking at your journal, I think you have definitely proven that you do indeed have stick-to-it-tiveness!!! ::yes::

Beth, Oh My!

Tell Katie to find you or her father's eyes in the audience right before she dances and dance just for you. This worked for me all through H.S. on drill team (Just find one friendly face) and when my sis and I took adult tap a couple of years ago and had to perform in the recital downtown with the kids groups. Even with the dark theatre and the stage lights, I could see Jeff and my parents in the audience. I know that Katie can do it!

You're workout is making me tired just reading about it. Sustaining a 15 minute mile shows your fitness has really increased. Here's some :wizard: for your weigh in. (But if the scale is possessed by some evil troll, remember that muscle weighs more than fat!)

:sunny:

Weighin today was 214.5. I'm down 2 pounds. It's a good thing because I was ready for some serious scale bashing.

What happens when you go full tilt for aver a week without resting and taking time for yourself? You get sick. I had a sore throat last night. I've diagnosed that I now have strep throat. Fever, white patches, redness. I'm also congested with what is obviously not related to allergies.Lots of ear pressure and enlarged lymph nodes. I've paged a md friend. I don't have time to go to the office. I'll have him call in a script for me.

Despite all the things to do today, I'm taking a nap this afternoon. I need some rest. We'll order in tonight. Besides, Katie is more likely to nap, if I do.

I will go to the Y. I'm going to do my weight circuits, no cardio. I just don't feel up to cardio.

Hsve a good one. I hope to get to journals a little later.
Beth

Ok, so I'm an idiot. I did do my weight circuits, and then I did 30 minutes on the treaddie. I am completely wiped, and I'm off for a nap.

Beth,
 and healing :wizard: are being sent your way. Please make sure to take good care of you so that you can get better soon!::yes:: Get plenty of rest and try to take it easy, okay?

Congratulations on your weight loss! :jumping1: You have been so focused on staying OP and exercising, that scale just had to cooperate! I am very proud of you for all of your hard work!!!::yes:: :Pinkbounc

Have a relaxing and peaceful day today, Beth. You are in my prayers.

Tracy:wave2:

Ok, Katie is all ready for her recital. We leave in 15 minutes. She is ok, but nervous. I'm a wreck. I am being supportive, and she doesn't know that I am nervous. We'll see how she does.

Beth, sending best wishes to help you through the recital and "break a leg" to Katie!!

I love my daughter. In her dance they have glittery stars that they swing side to side. The little girl next to Katie threw hers off the stage by mistake and started to cry. Katie handed Julia her star and continued to dance without missing a beat. They got an aww.. then a standing ovation. I'm doing something right. I only wish that they had been taping tonights performance and not tomorrows.

Hi Wilderness,

Yes I took some pics. I need DH's help in posting them. I am not very good with computers.

I am feeling terrible today. I'm on my antibiotics, but this has progressed to a full blown sinus infection. I need to wear my sunglasses, because I can't handle the light right now. I am definately taking a day of rest from exercise. I am aslo taking a nap today. My parents arrive at 4pm. Recital is at 6. This morning Katie thanked me. She wanted to give me her rose because,"I couldn't have done it without you. You take me to my classes and practice with me." I swear that kid is an old soul. What 4 year old thinks like that. She is awesome.

I need to get a move on. I will get to the rest of journals a little later today. Have a good weekend.
Beth

Oh Beth,
Your little Katie sounds like such a sweetheart!! :cutie: What a nice gesture for her to give her friend her star. Plus, she wants to give you her rose for all that you have done for her. Way to go Beth and Won! You are raising a wonderful little girl!!!::yes:: :rose: :rose: :rose:

Beth, you are definitely in our prayers. ::yes:: I hope that you start to feel better soon. and :wizard: for you!

Take care! Tell Won we said, "Happy Father's Day!"

Have a great weekend,
Tracy:wave2:

Beth: Wow, what an inspirational story. Katie is an angel for handing off her star and continuing to dance. She must be really prepared for her performance. And to thank you for getting her to class and helping her to reherse - that is truly amazing...

I hope that you are feeling better really soon. Strep and a sinus infection is never fun - but in summer it seems to be much worse with the heat and humidity. Get yourself some needed rest and enjoy the next performance.

-Laurie

You should be very proud of not only Katie but yourself and your husband. Obviously someone is doing many things right with that little girl. She sounds like a doll.

Hope you are feeling better soon. Lay low and push your fluids.

Thanks Laurie Tracy and Wilderness. Katie is a very loving little girl. I'm very lucky.

MAJOR RANT AHEAD...

We went to the recital. It was wonderful. Katie did a great job. Her teacher told me she wants to move her up even though she should keep her in preballet based on her age. Everything is going well, until the end. I go into the classroom where Katie is, and who is there, MIL. she bought a ticket and went to the recital. Not only did she then have contact with Katie, but she gave my 4 year old 3 dozen roses. I have made it clear that she is to have NO CONTACT with Katie untl she can be civil and apologize to me. I kept it together. I told Katie to say goodbye and took her to Won and my parents. MIL followed. I told them to get in the car. I told MIL that if she pulls a stunt like this again, we'll be pursuing a restraining order. I did do this in an area where on one was present, so no one was embarrassed. I walked off with her muttering in Korean. We went home and got Katie ready for bed. I waited until she was in bed before I started to rant. I am now feeling a bit better, only slightly murderous. I just can't believe the nerve of that woman. I didn't want to ruin Katie's night by having a huge scene. I want that woman out of our lives. I am going to try to go to bed now. I hope I can sleep.

Tomorrow we're letting Won sleep in. Katie, myself, and my parents are going to breakfast and then mass. We'll wake up Won. We are having a late lunch at Big Buck Brewery. i'll be able to have a steak, so I'll be OP. We'll probably do a family walk later.

Beth
