Target has tons on clearance - they had a couple ofweeks ago some small Globe Ball ones! Also, Walgreens carries Disney stuff - lights too for Halloween and Christmas - check K-mart also for Disney themed items!
I've got those and some fairly old mickey/goofy/donald character lights and some halloween lights and I got them at a mix between either HD or Lowe's and the Christmas store at DTD. Two strings about fit my 20' awning so I buy them in pairs.
I'm like Larry on this one - I got mine at Lowe's after Christmas one year. Just look for Christmas tree lights that say "indoor/outdoor" because not all Christmas tree lights are for outdoor use.
I've heard these also referred to as "tacky lights" and we have strings of them depending on the place or season. A Mickey/Minnie string for the Fort; Crimson "A" for football season; palm trees for the beach; American flags for the summer holidays; red lanterns for camping in the woods. It's fun to change them up.
I picked up several strands of those a couple of years ago right after X-mas at WM for a almost nothing. We stepped up the tacky thing when I ordered the following for the DW
She's even starting to make more outfits for it
She saw a lighted pink flamengo last year during the Xmas season at Target either in Jacksonville or Orlando and wanted one, but the next day even the display one was gone so this year when we're down visiting the mouse that is our mission is to find one of those I still can't believe we're doing this, but hey if Mama isn't happy nobody is.
Camping World and Disney are great if you like to part with your $$$ quickly. Check out WalMart, Target, Sam's, Costco,THD, Lowes, and even Walgreen's & CVS. You'd be amazed at the places that sell Disney themed items. Camping World is outrageously overpriced on just about everything. Disney is...well...the "World's Best" at honest thievery!!
I was just into Lowe's this A.M. and saw a cute set of pumpkin tacky lights for about $8 for a string of 10 and some of their inflatables are really out there and much better than in the past IIRC. Nothing Disney specific at least at my local Lowes.
