Stretching out boot leather

I bought the most adorable Ariat boots from Zappos. I know they are plenty big enough but my instep seems to be too high to even get them on! Yes, I've had this problem before but these were sooooo cute that I was just hoping....

Has anyone ever stretched the instep of a boot before? If so, how did you do it?

Thanks! I actually put on a pair of pantyhose and managed to get them on! Of course I can't feel my toes right now but they sure are cute!!!

I'm pretty determined this time - even if it means getting them wet and stretching them out that way!

I feel like Cinderella's step sisters!

I believe, and if I am wrong I am sorry, but I think mink oil will help stratch out leather.

I had 2 pairs of good leather boots stretched in width by a cobbler. It helped a lot, but one foot on one pair gets my sock wet in the rain or in a puddle.
