Has anyone had their Disney wedding in August? I know, the heat of the summer, more crowds at the parks? Hurricane season?

I wanted it in October originally, but it works out for family to do it in the summer. Has anyone had an August wedding? Was it miserable?(Weather wise of course, a wedding cant be miserable)..

You'll find mixed reviews.

I have lived in Florida all my life and can tell you this: August weather is miserable. It's never nice. Like ever. Rainy, muggy, and hot as hades. Hurricanes are less likely - we usually get them in September but anything can happen. Crowds are massive, even towards the end of the month when most FL schools are back in session.

How brides can have an outside wedding in the summer months blows my mind

If you want an August wedding, I'd book an inside venue and I really wouldn't think about taking pictures outside unless you make it snappy... JUST being honest...

We got married in December at Disney and did our bridal portraits in MK and Epcot in February and let me tell you both times I was sweating in my dress... I CAN'T imagine doing it in August.

But if its the only way to make it work at Disney... I would have a wedding in August over not getting married at Disney
