Gotta love ignore. Just added several posters. I will remove
you after the election but I'm taking a week of stress free
Dising from today. If it seems like I'm ignoring you-I am!:sunny:
Don't take it personal, or do. Whatever.
Too much more important stuff to do this week and I wanna
do the pixie dust thing and be nice from now on. You all
know how I feel about everything contraversial. I have nothing
mean or nasty to add! :D
Continue without me with my blessing!:teeth:
Bye!:wave2:
Consider me on vaca! Wish I were in Cancun, or Africa on safari.
Or Walt Disney World!

I turned of signatures and changed my post tags too!
I kept the voting tips in my sig because they apply to
everyone.
I think I'll start planning my next WDW trip. Over to
the planning board I go.:)

So if I could go anywhere right now, I would go to Africa. I was watching a documentary about this guy who flew his small plane over Africa stopping along the way to site see. He saw the most amazing things like, elephant herds, baby chimps and even a lonely, forlorn shipwreck beached in the surf. I would love to go on a voyage like that!:sunny:

It IS amazing over there. I've been on three safaris. One
in Kenyz and Tanzania, one in Botswana and Zimbabwe and
one in South Africa. I want to return to Botswana and maybe
add Namibia. We ballooned in Kenya, way cool! I'd also love
to trek for gorilla but it's gotten so hard. When my son gets
old enough to have good memories, we're going back for one
more look.

I would be on a sailboat in the Greek isles, blue water all around me, fresh fish for dinner, ancient sites to explore...paradise.:D

LOL! yes:cool: interested in an African vacation?

btw, I call my DS "Bubie" funny, eh?

You may have blocked me for all I know, but I would be sooo happy to dis, stress free as well! Our differences aside, I just want to say thanks for a HUGE money saving tip, though my family thinks I am nuts!

Someone here suggested using dishsoap to wash laundry! I keep the remainder of the laundry soap on the dryer to avoid embarrasment for my children "Your mom does WHAT????". I swear it cleans as well as laundry soap and you just put a squirt or two in! I bet I am saving 10 dollars a grocery trip! Thought I would alleviate financial stress while avoiding the political!

I think I hijacked, oops, back to stress! Back on track, I would love to be in the mountains in Colorado!

Great tip Microcell!
I'm trying it today! Thanks!
mimi

Colorado sounds great! Don't forget the moisturizer!

You actually did that, how cool! I would love to see Gorillas like in the movie, "Gorillas in the Mist". I would love to balloon too thats one thing that I have't done.

I would love to meet some of the people, especially tribal ones. I have read a littleabout the Masai, they sound so interesting.

I spent two days with Masai and three with Samburu tribes.
I get teary just thinking about it. We stayed in huts with the
Samburu. There was a leopard outside my hut two nights in
a row. That's the way they live. I loved it.My Masai experience was not as authentic as I went back to my hotel room at night.

In Botswana, we also had huts but no tribe was nearby. We had
hippo and lion wandering through our camp one night and an
elephant knocked a tree down behind my tent near Savuti. It
made a horrible racket, we were terrified!!!! One of the guides
came out with a gun and shot into the air and another got into
a jeep. Between the two of them, they convinced the elephant
to leave camp.

The South African safari was too upscale for real tribal encounter
although we did do some trading with a chief and some women
one day. I had brought fabric and unusual beads(my SIL is a
beader) to trade. They loved it!

Thanks Beanie!

My grandmother was called Bubba and my mom (who is a grandma) is called Bubbie - so we can tell them apart.

I have never used moisturizer in the wash!:teeth:

No really, I need it in the mountains? I never have before, what am I missing?

That is so incredible. I should have joined the peace corps like I planned to at one time. I feel like I'm missing out because I haven't experienced anything like this.

I would also like to see The Pygmy's, if any are still left that is. What an incredibley magical place.

Thanks Beanie!

Microcell, you need the moisturizer in Colorado because our air here is SO DRY that most people feel it the very day you come here.

You will especially feel the difference coming from Missouri. I grew up several hours from where you live, and I felt like a lizard within 2 days of moving here. The same holds true for a great deal of the American West.

Moisturizer with sunscreen is best - remember you're also at higher altitude here, and you can burn quite easily. Especially on cloudy days when you don't realize it. Ouch!

I dry up and scale in the mountains! Once, I had a horrible
cold and flew to Denver to see friends. I immediately stopped
blowing and snorting because the dry air dehydrated me so
quickly. Three days later, I returned to Ohio and again had a
horrible cold. True story.

Shortbun - I like the idea of using "Ignore" as a temporary way to avoid exposure to posts by some users. I haven't put anyone on ignore because it hasn't "felt right" to me... yet. However, I think using it temporarily might be a very good idea right now. Even then, it will probably only be 2 or 3 posters.

I'd love to take DD on a trip to Africa. Since her birthparents are Haitian/Jamaican in origin, I think we'll do a Carribbean trip first. I don't know her heritage past that point so I wouldn't know where in Africa to consider - aside from avoiding areas with active unrest, wars, etc.

I'd also considered the Peace Corps when I was younger but have to admit the idea intimidated me. As I've gotten older, though, the idea has resurfaced. I'm going back to school to become an RN so I'm now thinking I'd actually have a useful skill to offer. :teeth:

I'm sorry shortbun, did you say anything important? I have you on ignore...

...just kidding!

;)

Actually, I like you much better without your former signature. In honor of your goodwill, I'm removing my political sig.
