That is so cool shortbun, I wish I could go on a safari. The closest I've been is staying at AKL, LOL. Any tips on how I can put my husband on ignore until the election? He is driving me crazy.

LisaZoe, good luck on going to school to become an RN. I did that 16 years ago when there was the last big nursing shortage. I was a hairstylist up until that point and really needed a job with more security. It was the best decision I ever made. There are so many options with an RN license. It wasn't easy, my children were 3, 8 & 9 at the time, but I have a wonderful friend who assisted in babysitting when I had classes, so I owe alot to her.

Hmm, you could try what my sister does - she makes him so angry he gives her the "silent treatment". Too bad he doesn't realize that at times that is just what she wanted.

My DD's daycare provider is also going to the same school and, in fact, is the one who suggested I consider this when I was laid off earlier this year. We've been helping each other out - for example I have been watching the kids in her daycare (after she got the OK from the other parents and I passed a security check, of course) for a few hours 2 afternoons each week so she can head to her evening lab classes early to study without interruption. In return, she's reduced my daycare cost by 1/3. Next term, she may try for a daytime class and I'll watch the kids so she can do that since some classes seem to be more readily available during the day. Since we're both single parents, I think it's easier to ask each other for help.
