Hi everyone!!
We are headed to MK this Friday!!:) We are going as guests of some CM friends, so I haven't been able to schedule any fast passes.

I'm hoping to convince everyone to head out at RD, but I want to have a back up plan in case we are running late.
I just checked the wait times in MDE and it looks like the holiday rush is finally over! Most of the rides have under a 30 min wait, except the mine ride, which is at 60

Here's my question: if we arrive around 10, would we be better off riding some other things like space mountain and Peter Pan etc while their waits are still low and doing the mine train closer to closing time? Or should we do mine train before the wait gets to two plus hours?

Thanks!!

Definitely peek a wait times from home for the next couple of days so you know what "good" and "bad" waits are likely to be. Check with the app upon arrival, and if you spot a "good" wait time - head right over! However, I do expect that the wait will have built pretty long by a 10:00 arrival and yo'll probably find waiting til park closing hours to be your best option.

I would say, if you can't FP+ 7DMT or hit it at RD, I'd wait and do it last thing in the evening. Disney severely overinflates the wait time at closing to discourage people from getting in line. On January 4th, I got in line at 11:15 (12:00 closing time) with a 45 minute posted wait time. I ended up only waiting 25 minutes (and I think that included a slight delay). Had I waited until 11:50 the wait would have probable been even shorter. Once they stop letting people in the FP+ line at closing, the standby line moves quickly.

Interesting!!! They do the same thing with wait times at the restaurants around here!! Lol! Makes sense thanks!!!!
