). We don't ride it too early in the day, or if there is a bit of a chill in the air and not likely to dry off easily.Oh but you can - we were soaked last year on Splash - totally drenched at the foot of the big drop, then caught by the jets and also got parked on the bend with the water flooding down and splashing us all in the boat - loved it! It was September and hot so we dried out pretty quick after the ride. We tend to do the ride fairly early on in the day so as to give us plenty of time to dry off afterwards. You really don’t get that wet. If you are super concerned wear a poncho. It really is just a splash and within 5 minutes if anyone did get wet they will be dry.

The only way to not get wet is to use a poncho. We rode it when it opened after refurbishment on Friday, Nov 17th, and my family all got wet. Very wet. I bring a disposable, see-through poncho, that I bought at Walmart for about $1. I throw them out each day. (I use them on Splash and Kali River.) I HATE walking around wet. With the poncho I don't get wet, but beware, when you go down the fall the wind will throw your poncho hood off. I have to hold mine down. What is your tried and true strategy for keeping dry on Splash Mountain?
Back and to the left...
Yes. Maybe not a million but a lot. It's my favorite ride at MK. The only time we've gotten wet on was when it started to pour as we boarded the ride. We got soaked as we went around the first outdoor section. From the rain. We've never gotten more than a splash from the rideThanks, everyone! Sounds like the back right side with a poncho. No guarantees. Has anyone ridden this a million times without a soaking? What was your strategy?
A poncho for sure will keep you dry. I’ve found that sometimes I get more wet from the water that is already on the seat when you load in, so we try and remember to scooch our bottoms toward the front of the seat a bit when we get in. Anytime I forget and sit all the way in, I end up with a wet bottom
