Hi everyone. I just spent a very long time on hold w/ Disney, so I'm hoping maybe someone here can help me with a couple of questions. I've been trying several different combinations of packages to get the best price, and I have come up with one that is really great. The details are: 3 nights in a moderate resort, room only rate. On check out day, new reservation @ deluxe resort for 3 nights using the current Kids Play package (3 nights) w/ 6 day MYW package w/ quick service dining. Now, my question is, since the dining and theme park tix are attached to the 2nd reservation, is there any way I can obtain the tix and start the dining plan when checking into the first hotel?

If the answer to the above is yes, supposing I attach 6 day tix w/ quick service dining to first reservation and nothing onto the 2nd reservation, am I able to continue using the dining plan throughout my stay? Or does the dining plan cut off when my first reservation is complete.

I hope this makes sense, and I think I know the answers, but I would like a more knowledgeable opinion than mine before I reserve. Thank you for your time!

I am going to move this to the Restaurants/Dining Plan board.

I believe you can go to Guest Services and activate your package tickets three days before your stay, but you should confirm that over on the theme park forum.

Your dining credits are good from the time you check in to that reservation, until 11:59 p.m. on the day you check out of that reservation.

You will not be able to use the dining plan until you check into that second hotel. The dining plan is tied to the nights you stay at ONE hotel. If you want it for your entire trip, you'll have to buy it for the first stay. If you put the package onto the first part of your stay, but change hotels, you'll have to buy it for the second stay.

You can call to see if Disney is still booking ticketless packages if you want the dining plan for the entire trip. For your first resort you would book a regular package (room, tickets for the entire trip and dining plan). Then for the second resort you could book a ticketless package (room + dining plan). It will be 2 separate reservations so you will be paying 2 deposits and dining credits for the first package will be good only until 11:59 PM on the day you check out of the first resort. You will have to call because this ticketless package cannot be booked online.

We booked a ticketless package with dining plan this week.

We wanted to book a ticket less package and was told we was not allowed to, that the only way to get ddp is to book a package which meant tickets resort and dining!
We was gutted, and cancelled our split stay.
I was told the only way is if you have annual passes, or get it on a military deal?
Would love to hear if you can Infact book ding with no tickets.

I booked one for my parents in the fall, and from everything I've read here, it should still be possible - not just to AP or military. If you get a reservation CM who says it can't be done, simply ask for another CM or supervisor who can help you. You can politely say "I know the general public can book a ticketless package, can you please see if another CM can help me."

On Monday I called to cancel my room-only reservation at Pop for July and instead I got a ticketless package with the room-only discount for a standard room at CSR and the regular DDP. We got our tickets thru Airmiles (points in Canada) and UT so no AP or military deal at all. You cannot book it online but you can if you call Disney directly as I did. Who told you you cannot book a ticketless package? One thing I don't know is if you can get it if you deal with a TA. I know it's not available if you book through Orbitz.

Disney told us lol,
We was originally booked at Ssr and we wanted to split stay, as we had tickets for the whole trip, I only wanted to add dining they said we couldn't do that, we would have to add tickets for BOTH hotel stays.
I'm pleased you could do It It.

That's true with the "free" dining promotion, but not when you're paying for the dining plan. The CM might have been confused.

I would call again until I get a CM who knows about ticketless packages. The one I talked to (Paris) was very helpful.
