Strappy shoes

I saw lots of very cute shoes when I was out shopping earlier this week. The style seems to be open with lots of straps.

The only problem is that I’m going to have to start getting pedicures earlier in the season than I normally would to wear them.

Ooo yes! I just got a great pair from LEI at JcPenny that I'm very excited to wear out next saturday! Nail Salon...here I come!

FOr dress shoes all i wear is open shoes with straps.
Easy to put on easy to take off which is great when i have to wear heels to work

I can't wear shoes with really thin straps because my feet are rather flat and they are uncomfortable. And when my husband goes shopping with me, his opinion is that they are not very flattering to my foot. He does like my pedicure though.

I can't wait to put on my favorite strappy sandals. in fact, my daughter already felt the need to run around in flipflops yesterday. it's been such a looong winter.

I'm 27 years old.
Never had a pedicure before in my life.
Wear strappy shoes/flip flops/slides all summer long.
I basically only wear socks with sneakers if need be in the warmer months.

I paint my toes myself...no need to subject someone else to that horror.

This was a problem for me this past winter as we had an event to go to on a day that was like 10 degrees and all the shoes I could find were open toes.
But I did just get a pair of open toe shoes last week that I loved! I even got them on sale. Now I cant wait for formal night on our cruise to wear them.

me too. one of my friends got a really nasty infection from getting a pedicure so i have never gotten one professionally either. works fine for me.

I paint my toes myself as well, and they look just fine!

I would love to wear strappy sandals...sigh. My 32 weeks puffy pregnant feet though, would NOT look very nice at all.

I do have a nice pedicure, so at least my toenails look good!

I love sandals....but not strappy ones...feet are too chubby for that
I'll probably get one salon pedicure this summer....otherwise I do home pedicures Don't bother painting my toe nails...cause I barely have any

The painted-toenails part of a pedicure is the least of what I'm worried about. I can do that!

My pedicurist razors the calluses off the bottoms and sides of my feet. I'll need that done to wear strappy mules this early in the season.

I've only had a couple of pedicures, but I've never had them razor off calluses. They usually soak and use a pumice stone. I don't think I'd feel comfortable with anything more.

Jvas -- The razoring doesn't hurt a bit. It's a little scary to watch, but it doesn't hurt because the pedicurist cuts only dead skin.

Rutt & Tuke -- I'm not sure exactly why, but I always thought you were a guy. Not that there is anything wrong with a guy getting a pedicure, but if you are male, is that the reason for no razoring? With a woman, I think they don't do it if your skin is smooth and callous-free. The pomice stone thing is something you usually do yourself.
