Strangest thing you HAVE to pack?

Instead of clothes pins to keep the drapes closed I just use my hair clip. I also cut up a sponge and add dish soap and let it dry. works great.
A small light up travel clock (I need to know the time when I wake up in the night). Funny but the Magic had no clocks in the rooms at all on the EBTA. Said they were having problems with them so took them all out. Also a small travel flashlight and magnification mirror. I need to see all those small chin hairs and very helpful in putting on mascara.

We bring small address labels that have been filled in to stick to postcards or envelopes. A great way to send things from various ports without having to carry a small address book.
luggage scale, flashlight, clothes pins, laundry stuff, sewing kit, highlighter, baggies and travel fan also round out things that always go in our luggage.

You guys have great ideas! If you need to pack very lightly due to airline luggage etc, you can use your cell phone for the navigator app as well as use its "bedclock" function and alarm instead of bringing an alarm clock, and also use it as a flashlight. Cups from the drink station and spoons found across from the hamburger stand can be scooped up onboard to get cups of ice cream (instead of cones) rather than bringing them from home. And don't forget magnets to decorate your stateroom door!

Oh, how I miss these! We do carry on for 75% of our trips and they were so easy to take. I was so sad when they were discontinued.

I have been using these for travel for years now! My local "Mom & Pop" store still had some in stock and I just bought up all they had. I think they'll make great inclusions in my FE gifts as well.

Lysol wipes and spray
Liquid hand soap
Pop up hamper
Starbucks Via packets for DH
Gluten free snacks for DH
Air freshener
Assortment of OTC meds
Swim goggles

Quick follow up on my previous post. There is a scale in the Fitness Center, but it's the kind that you'd find in a medical office so anyone standing close enough can see your weight (if you're shy about it). Having the scale in the privacy of my cabin kept me in check, and I ended up losing 5 pounds.

For those who seem to think they have to bring PooPourri, those in your group who are considerate will take the short walk to public facilities before destroying the room for everybody else. There are public locations all over the place. Don't think we've ever polluted the room enough to require gas masks...

The bathrooms are wonderfully themed as well. My favorite is the one outside of Palo and Remy. Hand Towels. Plush!

We packed a small printer and magnetic tape. This allowed us to take pictures and print them out and put them on our door through out the trip. DD loved that

I know! It sounds like we are going camping or losing communication with the world! I can say that because I am one of those packers. I really don't pack a lot of clothes, but it is all my "emergency" supplies that takes up all my room. We joke, ask me for anything, anything at all and I probably have it in my bag!

So many good ideas (the clothespins are genius! And a good FE gift idea). Here's the odd-ball stuff we pack every cruise (and for trips in general).

> Medical/First Aid Kit - This is the result of one of our first cruise trips (not Disney!). As we disembarked, my DH's stomach wasn't feeling good and he went to the medical center. In the end, he got a small bottle of Pepto-bismal and a $400 bill. From then on, I pack a small medical kit with the common OTC meds and bandages. It goes in my checked bags and so far, I have had no problems with it. Add to that a small digital thermometer, and dosage cups and you are prepared for any slight emergency. NOTE: One of the shops on the ship does sell OTC medication but they never seem to have exactly what I need or were open when we absolutely needed it.

i guess i'm just not "tech" enough. I go on vacations, especially all-inclusive ones (like cruises) to decompress and RELAX........... call me crazy

We brought all the OTC meds on our last cruise as well. I was worried we would pick up a bug at WDW and be sick on the cruise. Every time we go to WDW we end up getting sick with something. I ended up bringing a bunch of NyQuil and DayQuil. I am so glad I did. Because sure enough, the morning after we boarded, my throat hurt like crazy and I got a nasty cough. Thankfully I had the meds. I also brought Tylenol and ibuprofen. Which I ended up having to use because I had a fever. I couldn't taste much on the cruise, and I ate about a thousand soft serve ice cream with cones because the cold felt so good on my throat and the cones helped scratch my itchy throat.
Even with feeling sick, it was the best vacation of my life. But I will definitely be bringing the medication on board again. Adult meds and childrens meds.

I am the same way! MIL, SIL and I went to Sweden for 10 days and when someone needed a blister bandage, I had one. When MIL wanted to wash something out in the sink, I had a tiny bottle of detergent. I like to be prepared.

Well, if you have PooPourri there is no need to waste the time to go find another location. It's like it never happened...and not a single other person will know it did. THAT is why it is so great.

We have a bathroom at work for five women that doesnt have a fan. We are all close but when you got to go you got to go. We use the poo pourri and you are correcf, its like it never happened.

My mom gives me a bottle for our bathroom every time we get low lol. We also found that when it gets low we add just a little water and it still works great.
