Strange Upgrades

We just got back from 2 weeks. There were several strange things that happened to us.

1. We reserved a STD View Studio at BWV. We arrived and were assigned a BW view 2nd floor just above Wyland. I have been upgraded before but never to a BW view.

2. While were their we had full maid service everyday. Towels, Trash, Sheets, and Tidy Up. I found that odd but the week earlier we were at WLV and the same thing was happennig there. Not only to us but at least one other couple we meet in the hot tub.

The studios above Wyland are preferred - not Boardwalk - views. Some of the most coveted preferred views since they are "almost Boardwalk."

we received the exact same upgrade a few years ago when we had booked a SV studio....as a previous poster mentioned they are considered PV studios.....just check your points online when they "gave" us the upgrade they charged us the additional points...it took a few phone calls to get them back

Were you using points? I'm amazed that you got maid service daily. I know if you do a cash reservation you get daily maid service but never for points.

We stayed next door to your villa in August (not as good of a view) it was a nice location. Close to the stairs or elevator and a peek view of the Boardwalk and lagoon. It's called the Village Green area and it's definitely a preferred, garden/pool view.

We received a preferred pool (Clown) view once for our standard reservation.

Definitely check your points and the housekeeping was probably just a glitch in the listing and for some reason they had you listed on the housekeeping rounds as cash guest.

We just got home from a 8 day trip at BWV. We did not get ANY housekeeping services, not towel and trash or anything. However, they did bring me clean towels when I called.

I thought this was very, very strange.

Seriously, I posted 3 mo ago we got an "upgrade" during our stay too only to find out that we've been charged.

Hopefully you got pixie dusted instead of unknowingly charged for the upgrade...
