Strange POFQ question - crickets

The crickets, are they real or is it piped in sound? (I told you it was a strange question!!) One of my favorite things about POFQ was strolling through the resort late at night, so quiet except the sound of crickets. I love that noise. Didn't notice it at CBR last year, which probably makes sense being that it's the Caribbean....wait, do they have crickets??

Funny you should ask this question. My husband informed me that the crickets at Wilderness Lodge are piped in...who knew?? Is this really the case? Subbing to find out!

My best guess is that they are real. I've lived in the south pretty much my whole life and crickets are everywhere here.

Ok, I googled and found that the crickets and frogs at POFQ are apparently via soundsystem. I'm betting there are some of the real deal tho as well.

I would say piped in via sound system as we were at POR in RAIN, and there were still crickets chirping even in torrential downpours!
