Strange pin question re: MVMCP

When we took DS to MNSSHP, I flashed my AP at the pin store in Frontierland to get my discount on a Vinylmation I was buying. The CM placed in my bag (and charged me for) an exclusive AP MNSSHP pin. DS just started collecting and trading pins. As we are new to this, will there be a similar AP exclusive MVMCP pin? TIA.

That is unusual...she just put it in your bag..and charged you for it?
did you get it at a discount?
If i recall...it was around 12 bucks...before Halloween.

I have noticed that..the frontier store gets pins before any place else lately...
but...just bagging it...wierd.
There will be an ap exclusive for the MVMCP...
there usually are ap and dvc exclusives to these events.
the ap is normally a 2500- 3000 LE..and the DVC..has been a 1000..

There is usually an AP pin for every special event at WDW -- MNSSHP, MVMCP, F&W, SWW, F&G, etc. Plus a quarterly release that forms a set, sometimes with/sometimes without a fifth central pin.

I had found the dizpins site, so I had seen the MVMCP AP exclusive, but debranator mentioned a DVC exclusive. Is that for the parties? I picked up an older DVC exclusive today at DTD. No, I did not brave the charity thing. I was over there this afternoon doing some shopping in the area and stopped by. I am trying hard not to go overboard. It is just interesting where you pick up the tidbits of info on things that even when I read my AP, DVC, Disney VISA literature I still miss stuff.

Yes, I got the discount. That was why I mentioned the AP. I was trying to get the discount on the Vinylmation. I only went to her register because it wasn't as crowded as the other one. Maybe now I know why.

I believe they put them out only during the MVMCP.

I have been a DVC Member since 1991 (Original Vacation Club - now called Old Key West)
Although I am not a collector or trader, I have accumulated quite a large number of pins over the years. They were given for visiting new Vacation Club openings, Disney cruises, Comemoratives (ie: 9/11), Participation in Disney Institute classes (before they went away to become Saratoga springs) & some were 'traded' off my lanyard when I wore the lanyard on a Disney visit.
I don't wear a lanyard with pins anymore after I lost a 9/11 Commemorative Pin at a very crowded Soap Weekend - (These commemoratives were sent to DVC Members only - I had (2) before that fateful Soap Weekend! - Sadly I think someone 'took' it off my lanyard - luckily I have 1 left!)
I have (multiples) Vacation Club pins from visiting the openings at Beach Club, Animal Kingdom, Saratoga Springs, Wilderness Lodge, Bay Lake Tower & Aulani. I would like to have a pin for each Vacation club, but I'm missing Boardwalk and Old Key West. (I'm pretty sure they weren't giving out pins when I bought in 1991 - but I seem to remember getting pins when visiting the opening at Boardwalk - I went thru my box of pins and can't find Boardwalk ??? Would appreciate any hints as to how I might obtain?
Also I am not familiar with the acroynms used in the posts and would appreciate translation??
Is there a site where I could see the pins - I would happily trade my 'multiples' for what I don't have.

as for the Acronyms ....
they are very confusing at first..and sometimes,
I still have to google them.
Everyone of them can be googled.
but..if you lmk which ones you want translated....
but,I noticed that you posted this question in an existing thread.
I would give a question like this its own thread..so that you have a better chance of getting an answer.
