Strange Comments by a Security Guard

Wow so glad you reported this guy! Even outside of Disney that is highly inappropriate for a security guard. It isn't his place to tell parents if they should or should not give their kids juice, if your daughter should have children's chewables as a teen, or even suggest a young lady was looking to score based on a tooth brush!

I took a toothbrush into DL once. In fact I had a little kit including toothpaste, floss, etc. I was wearing Invisalign at the time and had to brush my teeth after eating and before putting them back in. The bag checker didn't say a word, nor should they.

I once had to report a bus driver at WDW. He was incredibly rude to a guest who asked a simple question. He went as far as to tell the guest to shut up and get off his bus! I heard the whole exchange and the guest's question definitely was not out of line. He was simply trying to understand the rules for his mom who was on an ECV. I was so shocked at the driver's behavior that I knew I had to say something. I wrote a detailed email to guest services. I received a phone message back, thanking me for my email and assuring me that the matter would be investigated. The caller mentioned that they would determine whether the employee needed to be reprimanded or retrained. I think in these cases, it's best to report exactly what you see and hear.

I did send in an email about it as I noted the day, time and his name. It was the strangest thing ever.

Don't be surprised if you receive a phone call or an email from Guest Services about this incident. A CM may want to go over this with you in more detail. We've had that happen. Disney really does care about things like this, so don't be hesitant to repeat your story in as much detail as you can remember. Your experience will help improve security experience for other guests in the future.

I did have a fun pair of guards once at the Epcot check. They apparently were having a "mine is better" contest. They got to mine and he felt the m&m tube and said "sweet! This one has m&ms!" Then as the bag shifted "never mind, its pennies for the penny smasher"

Fun comments are one thing. Creepy comments are another.

I did love the guard at AP preview of Pandora that laughed at when I showed him my muffin. He was just shocked that I opened up the brown bag and my reply was well you have to searh everything so have a peek.
