Went to school with a girl with the first name of Neryl and last name of Mole

at the school where I vounteer there are lots of new fangled names.......one little girl is Kyesha, another Athea

A company I used to work for had an employee by the name of Sandy Sheets in another office in the midwest.

A family I used to know had the last name of Gendron. One of them joked if they ever had a girl she would be named Rhoda.

When my mom was pg with my brother she told my grandmother that if it was indeed a boy (this was 40yr ago so no ultrasound) he would be named after her fathers middle name and my dad's first name. Granddads middle name was Duncan. My dads first name is Donat (pronounced Doe-nah). My grandma was horrified, LOL! Fortunately for grandma brother was named Steven.

My kids are named Reid (DS) and Regan (DD.) People think those names are strange...but I think they are beautiful!

I agree, those are beautiful names. But I'm probably biased since my DS is named Reed and my DD is named Regan!

It's funny how many people mistakenly call my DS "Reece". When my DD was 2, I watched "The Exorcist" and realized that the little demon-possessed girl was named Regan. LOL. Some days I think my Regan might be experiencing a little possession, too.

anyone remember the show "major dad"? the mom's name was "polly" but she refused to disclose the middle name, her husband tried everyway to find out (leaned she had a court order preventing her parents from disclosing ). at the end of the episode you find out: her name is "polly esther"

had a neighbor kid who was such a demon we nicknamed her "damiana" (ala "the omen").

had a co-worker whose daughter's middle name was "money"-pronounced with a long "o" and "a". (she was fond of the song that "money, money, money").

dd still gets upset when we tell her what are chosen name was during the preganacy :"gunter-pez" (we were so sick of looking at baby names ). ds still occasionaly gets called "harcort fenton" (from harry mudd in the old star trek show).

My son's name is Kai Alexander, It's hawaiian for prince of the sea, Japanese for forgiveness & Chinese for success. it's also me & my husband's initials.

Uggghhhh......I have never seen that movie and didn't know that was the little girls name until I was in the hospital right after delivering the baby. The nurse hears DH and I talking to our new gorgeous daughter Regan...and goes "Ew...that's the girl from the Exorcist". After just going through labor I wanted to beat the crap outta that nurse at that point!!!!
