Storytelling at AKL

We missed this the time we stayed at the AKL and totally regretted it. I'd like to go on our next visit, even though we won't be at the AKL.

Guests from other resorts may go to this, correct? I'd like to couple it with a dinner at Jiko.

We were there in 2003 and attended storytelling at the firepit. I am sure there is no requirement to be guests at the resort, at least not at that time. There were maybe 20 people standing around listening to the 15 minute story. Very interesting and fun.

We were there 2 weeks ago, and I don't see any reason you can't. Nobody was checking ID's or anything. It's just out the back door of the lobby! We enjoyed it alot!

We went in Dec. '03 and really enjoyed it. We were staying at OKW, nobody checked ID's or anything. I think that it's open to anyone.

The CM at CRO I spoke to yesterday suggested this very highly. He said hours vary depending on what time it gets dark, as they plan the storytelling to begin as darkness falls....

Thanks everyone! As I said, I screwed up the only night we could have done this by getting a PS for Boma at the same time (6pm) as the storytelling.

But the hours do vary. I remember our AKL material told us to call the front desk for the times.

If Boma is very busy, you may get a pager, and that way can do both! It just vibrates, so you won't be interrupting, and Boma is just steps away.
