Looking for information on the storytellers Café character breakfast. It looks like the cost is $28 for the buffet and $13 for children for the buffet. I have smaller children who will not eat enough to justify a buffet price. I see they do have à la carte kids menu, but on some of the documentation it shows that à la carte pricing is 16 to 23. If I go can I order for my smaller kids off the kids menu that has $7-8 items? Or because it's a character breakfast is the a la cate kids menu higher too?

I'm a little confused by your post because I think auto-correction/completion might have muddled up some of the words.

Storytellers (from what I can tell) has an a la carte menu for both adults and children at breakfast time (in addition to the buffet). The kids a la carte breakfast menu price are all about $7.50, while the buffet is $14. (Prices may have changed because the menu I saw on Allears.net is from August.)

The range of $16-$23 is the price for the adult a la carte menu.

This is very helpful thank you. I corrected Siri's poor transcription.

We did a la carte a few years ago and it was definitely the way to go for my family. My 3 girls prefer to share a large adult meal rather than each order a kid's, and buffets are simply not worth it for my light eaters. The kids still got to interact with the characters and we spent about $55 including tax and tip. It saved us quite a bit as one of our dds was 10 and therefore an adult, so our cost would've been around $110 for the buffet. This is the huge advantage to Storyteller's--it's the only character meal that allows you to dine a la carte.

Due to having a teen with a big appetite, can we 'mix and match' ie can DD choose to eat from the buffet and the rest of us a la carte?

We had a late character breakfast there earlier this month and we had a odd experience.

For some reason it was buffet only when we were there. The buffet was good, but it had been my intent to do ala carte so I was surprised.

The character interaction was really good and we really enjoyed the two meals we had at Storytellers. It was very nice to get out of the parks and away from crowds.

We were there this past weekend, and there was no menu for breakfast. We had opted to do breakfast specifically as 2 of our group would not "appreciate" the buffet. Sadly, they no longer have a la carte for breakfast we were told.

Oh no! That's really too bad. It means we won't be going there for breakfast, and I did like it very much. I suppose they figured out too many people were getting a character meal for a "bargain" price.

Ugh! That's frustrating, we don't want buffet- too much hassle with 3 young kids. Nor do we 'need' a character experience. I was looking for a nice sit down breakfast as our last hoorah before heading out of town...

Guess I need to research other breakfast options

We were also disappointed this week to find there is no longer an off-the-menu option at storytellers.

I've heard that Steakhouse 55 in the DLH has really good breakfast, but I haven't tried it myself.

I was hoping to try the Storytellers character breakfast on our upcoming trip, but I think we'll stick with Minnie's instead, since my kids don't eat enough to justify the cost of the Storyteller's buffet. Plus, they don't know those characters other than Chip and Dale.

That does make a difference - DH hates buffets (of any type) so choosing from the menu at Storytellers would have been the perfect solution and nothing to do with price:confused3
