storytellers cafe VS Goofys Kitchen ?

For the OP, at Goofy's you will always have at least one Princess. You will never see a Princess at storytellers. And, having been to both, I must say that the buffet is much better at Goofy's Kitchen, and the menu items are better at Storytellers.

Is this recent? Re: at least 1 princess at GK always. We went in October of 2008 & no princesses, but this would be great! DD7 would be thrilled.

Can anyone confirm this?

I don't think it is always a princess... could be another girl face character--like Alice, Wendy or the Fairy Godmother...

We are doing Ariels, Storytellers, Surf's Up, and Goofy's in 4 weeks... we've done them all before many times (and have only positive experiences), but haven't been to Goofy's since our first trip a few years ago now... I will for sure report back in a month!!

Sorry, I should have specified I consider Alice a 'princess', Wendy Darling a 'princess' when I said that. Yes, a female character will be there. Often though we see Sleeping Beauty or Snow White there.

After a disappointing time at Minnie's & Goofy's on our last trip, we'll be trying Storyteller's on this next one, so I'll report back.

If you were drawn to Minnie's and Goofy's, then Mickey's might be a good option too.

We did do Mickey's in June and loved it! Smaller than the other two, but I feel like better food and better character interaction.

Can you tell us what you didn't like about Mjnnie's and Goofy's.

At Goofy's Kitchen and Ariel's Grotto they take your picture with the character that the meal is named for before you go in for your meal. They will also take the picture with your camera...
To clarify, the pic is NOT always with the title character. In May 2011, our pic at Goofy's was with Geppeto, and at Minnie's the pic is just us, no character at all. At Surfs Up I think the pic is usually with Mickey, at least has been our experience.

We did Minnies in March and LOVED it (sooo many characters!) and I have been debating between Storytellers and Goofy for our next trip.

Sounds like neither may have as many characters as Minnie did :-(

Still not sure which to choose. My 8yo DS would have no idea who Brother Brer? is... but I know he'd love to see Chip, Dale and Ballou.

At Minnies we saw & got pics/autographs of:

Minnie
Pooh
Eeyore
Tigger
Captain Hook (GREAT interaction with the kids!)
Alice
Mad Hatter
Rafiki
Max
Goofy or Pluto dont remember

Which of the two mentioned in the thread will come closest to the same amount of characters? It doesn't matter to me if its a breakfast or dinner.

I have more detail in a thread about Goofy's Kitchen already, but basically poor character interaction and disappointing service.

I believe Goofy's was just a busy, understaffed night. Minnie's, which we usually love, was horrible. We were seated outside - seater asked shade or sun. I said shade. He then made us walk around a pick our own table. We picked one and he told us the characters don't come over there. So we went to the other side, assured that characters would come by. They skipped our entire section every single time. Finally went and told a lead, who said she'd be sure to make them come by, but they never did and we really had to hunt them down. We were there over an hour before our first character came by. By then people were sneaking up the sides and using it as a meet & greet and nobody was stopping them. It was just a frustrating (and by that point overpriced) meal.

Sorry you are correct I should have said 'with a character as we had Pluto at Goofy's Kitchen. I skipped the pic at Minnie's so I don't know how that one works.
