On the Resort thread I've read a few times that there seems to be no seats at the SAB pool and the Boardwalkpool. People leave their towels early a.m. and don't return. We're considering DVC at the Beach Club but I don't like the idea of not being able to find a seat. Anyone else experience this?

We've only been once. Had no problems getting a seat right next to the pool. I would not let towel concerns effect you decision to purchase at BCV. SAB is very cool, plus there is the quiet pool. The others don't have a SAB. :)

Been twice and never had a problem, even though it was busy. We did spend the whole day at the pool during these times, so perhaps we arrived when there were less "abandoned towels" making it look like seats were reserved.

As with anything else at WDW, crowds vary. One morning things may be crazy and that same afternoon they are less so. I have never felt SAB was too crowded for me to enjoy. This was also the case in the evening or at night. Last July it calmed down enough one night that a Momma duck and her 4 little ducklings were using the pool! This was the absolute highlight of the trip for my 8-year-old daughter.

I have also read that the Guards will remove towels from chairs after a period of time if they haven't been occupied.

Don't let this influence your decision!

We just bought DVC at BCV and SAB was a big part of our decision. I'm sure crowds vary just like everywhere else, but remember pool hopping priviledges. You can hop to other pools (my 4 kids want to try them all!) but others can not hop to SAB. AKL pool is off limits too. We felt it best to buy where we most want to stay. On past trips to any pool we have not spent ANY time sitting in a chair with four little ones! If all the chairs seem to be taken, we will just find a dry place to pile our towels and dive in!!! I stayed at Beach Club Villas last summer, right when they opened. SAB was jammed with people. I was at the pool in the morning, afternoon, evening and night. I NEVER had a problem finding a place to sit. :smooth:

Were were just there in early April and it was a zoo. We were only there for 3 days and the only day we DID NOT have trouble finding chairs was they one day we were at the pool by 10 AM. The other two days we were lucky to find one chair when we needed three. The pool was very crowded, which I did not like, but it did not bother DD very much. The pool is extremely cool, but extremely popular. We did see a lot of towels on chairs that were never used and families using one or two chairs and saving five. The CM's never removed any of the towels while we were there.

I think you have to decide how important this is to you in the whole scheme of where you stay. Also, don't forget that one of the best things about BC and BCV is the ability to walk into EPCOT and take the boat to MGM. We are hang out in the sun pool people so it would be a big factor for us.

We've taken four trips to BCV since they opened last summer, and we have always been able to find seating at SAB(and some of these visits were at peak times!). I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think the chair situation is any worse at SAB than at some of the other resorts, and the wristbands seem to have cut back on the gate crashers during busy periods.
