So i was chatting with Holly and she wanted to know what a Tucker was and what not. I'm trying to remember if I posted that I got "elected" to ride shotgun yesterday. tom is trailmaster for our local club and his run is to west woodstock round trip this run accounts for 1/2 of our 84 miles of trail we maintain. So lucky me had to be the Winch person.........

As promised heres the pics and a few not so clear ones of the boys and dogs enjoying the storm...

Tom is 6' so this gives you a bit of an idea of what we had.

this is the tucker At this point the snow had gotten so deep we'd left the drag and were just packing with the machine

me slogging through the snow abt 2 steps later i went in above my waist. this was the second time I'd had to hitch the winch cable up.

go ahead and laugh it really was kind of funny although Tom did think he was going to have to come find me.

I'm now off to send them to our secretary and she can have the pleasure of scrapping them I want to forget that ride.

Actually the sweatshirt is yellow and the only crummy one I could find that I was willing to bear hug trees in. Snow doesn't bother me really I complain about it but I'll take over hurricanes/tornados and what not.
They just dropped our forcast to 12" but it's still raining.

To give another view the tracks at the top point think rounded triangle are to my waist getting in and out of that thing was a workout never mind the slogging through the snow. I got on the scale for the heck of it and had dropped another 1.5 pound since tues am would love to keep it off. Maybe I should just be the copilot..

Wow!!! That is a lot of snow.. haven't seen that much since the blizzard of '78 when I was 8 years old... (btw, you can keep it)...

And white in a snow storm... we need to get you a neon stripe on that coat so we can find you!!!

Looks like the kids are having fun though and that is the most important thing!

I so agree with the wearing white - if that little bit of your pants was not showing you would be lost.

thanks Ann I would love to do it more often actually but with no one to keep the boys other than their great grandmother and great aunt I have little options. They Love having the boys and boys are VERY good down there but I know it exhusts gram.

I hated that movie!!! I watched it when in high school and the thought still freaks me out. If it was a tucker (which are sno cats) then it's it. thanks now I'm going to be thinking about that movie everytime he goes out.

I SWEAR it was a yellow sweatshirt!!! but the snow was blinding at times so even with all the lights on that thing seeing was difficult.

ahhh those little buggers for some reason I get a 2nd set when I import must have hit delete one to many times.

We escapped this last storm and ALL but 3" are GONE. Spring is definately here

No wonder the CT River is flooded now. All that snow in VT melted and headed this way.

Great pics, but I agree with wdwfan, better you than me. I am a firm believer than sn@w is lovely as long as it is on the mountains.

And I do think you need bright pink duct tape on the back of your sweet shirt!
