Storm A Long Bay?????

We stayed at BWV last summer for 3 nights after our first ever DVC stay at SSR. I have to agree that there is not much for food at the boardwalk area in my opinion. WE ate at ESPN Zone..thought it was just okay. IT was small in there to us. There is no quick grab place eithier....just the little corn dog, pizza place on the boardwalk. The rooms are nice and all but after a day we preferred SSR to BWV. YES THE HALLWAYS ARE LONG and the pool is not all that great. It is nice to be close to EC. So we are trying BCV this summer and see how we like it.

Thanks for your reply. How do you like the Boadwalk. Is everything centrally located...the snack bar....the game room..the pool. Could you share any info on the Boadwalk. I always stay at the WLV. I am like you a hovering mom..I would never be able to handle the pool at SAB!

There is really no snack bar at BWV to speak of. Spoodles has a pizza window. Boardwalk Bakery has sandwiches. There is a candy store with ice cream. There is - in the evening - a few carts - and I think the pool bar has hot dogs. BCV/Swan/Dolphin and Ecpot are all a walk away - we've never had issues finding SOMETHING, but there isn't a snack bar or food court.

The pool is probably the most centrally located themed pool in DVC. BWV/BWI was designed as a mixed use facility - and the them pool ended up nestled in on the Villas side. There are still some long walks to the pool (but there is also a community pool), but it isn't like VWL. However, its a deep pool and the toddler area is not really much of anything. Very like VWL - but a little more isolated from the main pool. For toddlers, I really like zero entry - which for DVC would be AKL or SSR.

Game room is right off the main theme pool. Never been in there, looks small.

BWV is one of the DVC resorts with a community hall though (by the community pool) - free Playstation, pingpong, foosball (if I recall, its been a long time) plus arts and crafts activities (some you pay for).
