Stopping by HHI?

We are looking to buy into DVC via resale. We are going to be in HHI in June on vacation. Is it possible to visit the Disney HHI resort? We would want to stay there in the future if we ending up buying DVC so it would be nice to check it out. I wasn't sure if you could stop in to just look around like you can at Disney World.

there's a gate to prevent cars from driving onto the property, so you'd have to ask at the gate if you could look around...

and walk over. We were in HH a couple of weeks ago, last miute trip not at DVC and we walke dover to the mercantile and got mickey ice cream. It's nice to go home eventhough you don't have a reservation.

We stopped by before we became DVC members and this visit is what actually made us decide to purchase DVC. We just explained to the lady on the other end of the speaker at the gate that we were prospective members and she let us right in. We went to the lobby and the lady was very nice and gave us a check-in packet complete with a map and explained to us how get around. She said she couldn't get us a key to the beach house, but we were able to drive over there. Hope this helps.
